Easily the most accurate 10mm that I own. I ran 100 rounds through it today with no jams or problems of any kind. The fit and finish on the gun is superb. This is my first Kimber and will not be my last. Not even close.

I had initial concerns with the Camp Guard after having read several reviews on various websites. I decided I would have problems the first time I took the gun to the shooting range. I purchased a Wilson Combat magazine to compare against Kimber's, and I bought three FMJ brands (Winchester, Federal, and Armscor) and four JHP brands (Armscor, Hornady, Sig Sauer, and Winchester) for ammo comparison. I shot nine rounds of each from both magazines. I had NO failures-to-feed and 2 failures-to-lock on the last round. Needless to say, I was amazed and very pleased. I did not find the recoil unpleasant and could keep it on target when firing two shots per second. My only complaint (minor) is the serrations on the trigger. They are rather sharp and when combined with the sharp recoil, my trigger finger was cut. Tape fixed the finger and a file rounded off the sharp serrations. This gun is as pleasant to shoot as it is to look at it. Love it!!

This is my second Campguard and I really like my first one. The break in period is necessary and I definitely recommend using other mags than Kimber. The Kimber mags are 9 round and the first round won't feed if loaded to 9 rounds on both guns. Also I had the gun go to slide lock with the Kimber mags after 4 rounds 3 times in the first 40 rounds. These guns can shoot though and are reliable with my Colt, Dan Wesson and Mec-Gar mags which are 8 round mags. I like 10mm 1911s and the Kimber is as accurate as the Dan Wesson and easier on my trigger finger and slightly more accurate than my Delta Elite. I'm left handed and wish it had a bilateral safety.

Completely satisfied with this purchase. Buds was a pleasure to deal with fast shipping, gun arrived flawless, only put 50 rounds through it so far, but less recoil than I expected. Beautiful gun.

Beautiful pistol for a great price. Fit and finish are what you would expect from Kimber. Extremely pleased with this purchase. And Bud's service was good, as usual.

First off Buds was outstanding, they worked with me on making this deal work and now I have my 10mm that I have been wanting.. as for kimber it is beautiful , finish is amazing, grip feels like it was designed for me! But the magazine being instered isn't working right it stops 70% which is normal but unlike my other 1911 I have to really push it to go in..that is on kimber and I'll be reaching out to them..
Thank you buds

Really nice gun. Smooth trigger, manageable recoil and Absolutely great sights. And the wood work on the grips is really detailed. I’ll be carrying it on some hunts in Northern Wyoming this year.
Bud’s was great to work with. The time it took from when I ordered it until I picked it up. Right at 1week

I have been waiting for a while to review the Camp Guard as I wanted to give an honest shooting impression not just looks great review I see far to often . First off my trigger break is 3.4 lbs on an average of 3 quite good for a production gun the take up is adjustable so that's not really an issue I left it default , Some have had problems with feed with the factory mag as I did first couple go arounds but have many 10 mm mags from other 1911's to go around and always used the Kimber mag in the mix and after 100 or so rounds the gun likes it now and no issues as well as my other mags no feeding problems , My fav are the Metal form stainless and Wilson 9 rounder's although the original Colt Delta mags work fine too but you have to use one less in the Colts to bring it home for some reason and if I was holstering this gun in an enviroment I might need it to defend the Wilson 9 would be my choice but they are pricy compared to the Metal form's. First off this gun is extremely tight in fit with the barrel bushing and you will need the supplied nylon wrench to bust it down but that adds up to extreme accuracy no slop or play it's like a custom shop gun in that aspect and it shows in performance and not really sure why this 10 mm does not flip in fact it's about the same muzzle flip as my ported Springfield Omega longslide 10 it just stays on target I shoot this in unison with a series 80 gold cup that has had some work and a CZ Shadow 2 9 mm and find the Kimber is no slouch in good company it shoots right in there with these two no problem and can actually keep it on target better than the 45 the Shadow 2 just has negligible recoil being a heavy steel 9 and is about the same . I am sure being a steel frame helps too, I shot the Kimber side by side with my Longslide Omega 10 and the accuracy was about dead even and that surprised me wow. Ergonomics on this one is my suspect in the way it shoots there is something about the rounded heel that just gives me a great grip and the extended beavertail keeps me locked in The Tritium sights are just great and love the edge bevel on the rear sights and acquisition is quick and natural and very bright at night . After some thought I usually change things to suit my needs and this one is staying bone stock the grips are absolutely gorgeous and offer a nice meaty grip everything is just right as it is . I am not sure if all Kimbers perform like this one but if they do they are fine 1911's and will look into a round heel 45 here soon to find out . Can't say enough about Buds they just get it done I have the Buds Prime (i call it that) but it's a nice walk that way I get my guns in a couple days and always get tracking updates and other perks definitely worth the vig if you buy stuff here. If you looking for a great woods carry gun that has target capabilities this is the one that you could empty the mag in the right direction .
