Standard Fanufacturing is not only known for shotguns but also very high quality 1911's. I am very happy with this purchase. The pistol is even nicer than the picture reflects. Great price and I was truly happy with the speed in which it arrived at K&S Outdoors for the transfer paperwork. Good job "Bud's."

This may be the most beautiful gun I own. The engraving and color case hardening are incredible. Shot 100 rounds through it the day I picked it up and it performed flawlessly.

Absolutely beautiful firearm! I completely amazed of the quality, this gun is built tight. The coloring and engraving is top shelf works. I will definitely purchase another Standard MFG before spending money on one of the well known more expensive 1911 manufacturers. If you were to purchase a 1911 of this quality from the bigger custom 1911 companies you would easily spend 7k. It arrived arrived at my FFL in all it’s splendid spectacular. Fired 400 rounds at my local range and had zero issues. Extremely happy with this purchase.

what a beautiful gun this is and it does have the checkered front strap and mainspring housing I am so glad I jumped on it when I seen it available and at hundreds less than I seen on gb

This gun functions as well as it looks. Trigger pull is light compared to other 45's I've used. Accuracy is excellent right out of the box. I'm very pleased with my purchase and it is well worth the price paid for the quality received.

Very nice pistol!! I guess I lucked out because mine came with checkered mainspring housing and front strap. The only thing that bothered me is that the slide is polished so smooth that it is hard to cycle the action to load a round. My hand tends to slip on the slide. The pistol is almost too nice to shoot.

The finish on the gun is amazing buds shipped really fast. Very disappointed because the picture shows the gun with a checkered frame. Nope it's not checked
