I recently ordered the Marlin XT22.and it took buds gun shop awhile to get sent out to me.Well i,m here to say that the time was well worth the wait.Very smooth, beautifull, great feel when placed in the ready position, cycles great making it a great and we'll built firearm.I love it so much i,m thinking about ordering the XT17 they both look the same.Thinks Team bud you hit a homerun.

The rifle itself is good quality. I shoot 30 grain CCI Maxi Mag out of mine and it shoots one ragged hole at 50 yards. I purchased the rife for squirrels, groundhogs, and other pest control and I'm quite pleased. The only negative to the rifle is the stock. I think it's kind of cheap and part of the stock is touching the barrel. I'm debating if I want to replace it with a Boyds laminated thumbhole stock, but the gun still shoots great as is.

The Marlin XT heavy barreled, stainless .22 Magnum rifle arrived at my FFL in immaculate condition. I used Second Hand Rose at 3rd Street in Tulsa, as I have in the past, as my FFL. I reviewed them separately and gave them 5 stars. They are on Bud's preferred list and still only charge a $20 transfer fee, which is truly refreshing in this day and age of many charging two or three times that much. The folks there are wonderful to deal with as well, and you will always find yourself leaning across the counter and bending an ear to a funny story or two from the workers, swap a hunting story or two, and you always feel welcome. Back to my wonderful experience with Bud's: I could not find a better overall price anywhere, and the free shipping was hard to beat for sure! I am excited to get out and send some rounds downrange to wring this thing out. I mounted an aftermarket (purchased separately) 4x32 fixed power Simmons .22 Mag scope on it using Traditions silver muzzleloader rings, as the 3/8 dovetail rings that came with the scope were not the best. I found the 1 inch weaver-style Traditions rings at Bass Pro in Broken Arrow, OK for $15. Since the rifle came with weaver style bases, this setup worked out perfectly for me. It is low and centered on the bore as is always advisable, and I have just enough room for the caps and for the bolt to open and clear the eye bell of the scope. Compared to a Savage 93 heavy barreled setup I was looking at the other day at Gander Mountain here in Tulsa, the Marlin has a nicely finished 22" heavy barrel that looks much better than the Savage I was looking at. The muzzle crown and bore were immaculate. Nice fit and finish. The Pro-Fire adjustable trigger is a nice touch, and I may see how it performs at the factory setting before attempting to lighten it a bit. Overall, I am satisfied, as always, with Bud's, and have not had any bad experiences so far over my past few purchases. As many have said before: "Way to go Bud's!!!"
