Birchwood Casey Rig #2 Gun Oil Cleaner/Lubricant 10 oz

This product is excellent! I've used it for years and have loved it, it really works well to lubricate and corrosion resistance is top notch. The smell is pretty harsh and the product is likely toxic, so use is best limited to the outdoors while wearing disposable gloves. I like that a small cut straw is included on the nozzle. The straw allows you to use the product like a pressure washer and literally blast the carbon and dirty gunk off your gun parts. I literally hose down parts with this stuff, it's the best. Now, I do have one concern with this product, the last shipment I received had cans with a white nozzle rather than red like they always used to be. The white nozzle did not have the cut straw and made it difficult to use the product the way I like. Please keep the red nozzle with the cut straw as it works best to get enough pressure to clean the parts thoroughly. I can't recommend this stuff enough, some people are afraid to use CLP in certain places, I spray anything made of steel down very liberally with this stuff and have never ever had a problem in years of doing it, in fact it makes the parts work better and more smoothly than they ever would without it. I spray down the firing pin channels, gas rings, gas blocks and all. Any new firearm I get is disassembled and most parts are sprayed down with Rig, it really makes all the difference in the world the first time you go to clean your gun after a range day, Rig makes cleaning so much easier. It holds to the part to lubricate it for a very long time and does not attract dirt like a sticky CLP or WD40 would. It is very thin and has no chance at all of gumming anything up or leaving behind anything, it will not affect anything negatively on your metal gun parts so do not worry. Every firearm I own has the bolt group taken out and sprayed down with it. The positive effects are that good. I also use it after cold bluing to stop the reaction from occurring on the metal. This stuff is well incorporated into my cleaning routines. I'd be willing to bet my guns are cleaner than yours and Rig # 2 is mostly why! It's my personal favorite, I don't think there's another product that could fill the shoes of Rig # 2.
