It was back in 1975 when the pistol was officially presented as the Model 92. The first military adoption is made by the Italian CONSUBIN (the Italian Navy "SEAL" teams) and from the Brazilian Army (1975/76).

From the jungle heat of Panama to the sandstorms of Iraq, the men and women of the U. S. Armed Forces have counted on the Beretta M9 pistol for over two decades of distinguished service and reliability. The commercial M9 pistol is the closest replica to the military M9 that a civilian may legally own. What sets it apart from the 92FS is:

A. Distinctive military style markings on various components closely replicate those of the U. S. Armed Forces M9 pistols.
B. Unique M9-prefixed serial number(M9-0001 through 2010) sets this configuration apart from the other 92 series pistols.
C. "Dot-and-Post" sight system clones that of the M9.

DESCRIPTION:

I took a while to decide that I wanted this Beretta. By the time I made up mind the only place I could find it was at Bud's. Fortunately, they sold it for the same price as it originally was. I received it in the normal few days that is Bud's norm. It was packaged correctly so no damage to the gun or the manufacturer's box. I really love the walnut grips for display and the regular plastic grips for shooting. I'm extremely happy with the purchase, price and delivery. If you want one I hope you can find one because mine will never hit the market.

I purchased this 25th Anniversary Beretta M9 in Feb 2011 almost coincident with starting a new job. I paid $599 total with no shipping or sales tax then. It came with an extra set of nice wooden grips and a distinctive green box. Now it's eleven years later in March 2022 and there's an example for sale on Gunbroker bringing $905.00 with over three days left in the bidding! I sure don't regret buying this now! Mine is still unfired and pristine in the box (just like the majority of my guns :))!

I'm glad I bought mine when I did. I give this Beretta 10's all around!

I put this gun in my wish list and forgot about it. A few months later I got an email from Bud's letting me know that it was available and I jump on it. As usual Bud's was great. The gun was beautiful, took it to the range and ran about 50 rounds of cheap ammo with no problems. I don't think I will make any money on this gun any time soon, but i know I can get my money back any time, if I ever need to sell it.

Absolutely beautiful firearm! I'll be honest, I started out my Navy career with the old trusty 1911 and never quite warmed to the M9 (mainly due to its size and ergonomics compared with the 1911) and am NOT a fan of the 9mm hardball round as a threat stopper. BUT this is the weapon I carried through most of my Naval career and so I figured I'd like this 25 yr edition for nostalgia sake. That all said, this is a VERY NICE GUN! It is an exact copy of the service issue weapon except for the beautiful wood grips. When I opened the box at the Marine Corps Exchange I got a whole crowd of ooohhs and aaahhhs. It does come with the standard plastic grips, which is really nice so you don't damage the wood grips at the range. As expected the pistol functions perfectly and is as accurate as any I've fired. They only made 2010 of these, so if you get a chance to get one-go for it! Buds Price was almost too good to be true and as usual service and shipping were flawless!

‹(•¿•)›++...Excellent Seller! Thank you! Highly recommended!!!... ++‹(•¿•)› Great delivery and service by Budsgunshop.com at a fantastic price.... Just about as pretty as they get! The 25th is a limited edition and I just needed to get one before they were all bought up! It's very smooth and quite a good looking piece. Perfect balance and beautiful wood grain handles that really make it stand out from the crowd. Go ahead...take a close-up look at the picture and try not to press the "BUY" button! BTW... I shopped and re-shopped the internet.... Buds had the best all around price so I can save you the time shopping for a better price on a new Beretta M9 25 Anniversary Gem! Had this baby on layaway, which by the way is so awesome!!!! What a good-looking pistol. When I picked this from my good friend and FFL and he was pretty jealous. I have always wanted a M9 and this one has fit the bill nicely. I had debated the regular old 92fs which is pretty much the same pistol, but I'm kind of weird and hate the fact that stamped right on the FS slide is, "caution dangerous blah blah blah, read owners manual for safety instructions." I prefer the military markings on this M9 and the grips are truly nice. Worth the few extra dollars for this Anniversary edition. I have shot the M9 and 92s plenty and even though I haven't been to the range yet I'm sure it will perform flawlessly. Finally have a good pistol for the zombie apocolypse. Thanks Bud's for the layaway and the quick shipping!

Two-thousand and nine military arms collectors (including me, the two-thousand and tenth) are going to be extremely happy with this fine sidearm. As usual for Beretta USA, fit and finish are 100%, accuracy equals repeatable double-tap head shots at seven yards with 124gr Winchester NATO (yeah, it was *supposed* to be a "no-shoot" target, but the hostage-taker wasn't wearing a helmet). The badged wooden presentation grips are padded and stowed. Only thing that I thought odd - the included mags were Italian, and shiny, when there are literally tons of government-contract parkerized mags to be had. I've already bagged the shiny mags up and a pair of nice clean issue mags as well, and use my banged-up issue mags. Ordered by online check on a Friday evening 4th of March, received Monday noon 14th March - no complaints here. Oh, and did I mention the price was $100 less than the BX including shipping? Thanks Bud!

Glad I got in on this limited edition, the wood grips are amazing and could probably get 70 bucks themselves. I will definitely be using the black grips when shooting though, wouldn't want to mess up the finish. Bud's shipped really fast, and living in IL didn't complicate the process.
