With the introduction of the P938, SIG SAUER now offers the ballistic advantage of the 9mm cartridge in a platform similar in size to the best-selling P238 pistol. A single-action-only trigger, coupled with full-size SIGLITE® Night Sights makes the P938 handle like a much larger pistol, yet is still easy to carry concealed.

With dimensions just slightly larger than its .380ACP counterpart, the P938 packs six plus one rounds of 9mm into an all-metal frame. The cocked-and-locked single-action trigger gives the P938 unmatched accuracy in a pistol its size.

Fans of the 1911 will find the thumb safety, magazine release and slide stop lever in familiar places. An ambidextrous safety makes the P938 easy for left- and right-handed shooters.

Gun would not function correctly right out of the box sent it in after firing 300 rounds out of it could not get it to work ,ammo kept nose-diving , sent it into sig Sauer keep in mind brand new gun ,they had to adjust the thumb safety ,replace the slide catch lever spring ,replace the magazine catch ,polished feed ramp and replaced Sears spring , gun come out of the box and basically had to be salvaged right away.

Very nice gun. So far I've only put about 30 rds through it in the woods by my house but it is "beer can" accurate at 10 yards for a somewhat inexperienced shooter such as myself and has a softer recoil than any 9mm I've fired. After a ton of research I'm happy I spent the extra $ on this Sig!

I ordered this product on a Thursday morning and it was at the shop Friday afternoon. Hadn't expected it that quick. Very grateful to Buds. The product has exceeded my expectations. The accuracy and feel are exceptional. I'm sold.

This is a very good pistol from Sig. I went with it last weekend to the range to break it in and after the first 10 bullets that had no accuracy the pistol became more and more accurate. I fired about 200 bullets with it and it is just firing better and better with no jams or problems. I will go again very soon to fire another 200-300 bullets with it. I totally recommend this pistol for a conceal carry.

The service from Bud's was great, but that is pretty much expected. I really like this pistol. I've been wanting a small, comfortable, high quality carry gun for some time. I prefer the 1911 platform and while this isn't technically a 1911, it's close enough. Mine came with the 6 round mag which is good for carry, but your pinky is hanging off the gun. I ordered the 7 round mag and it is perfect. I've only shot one box of shells, but there were no glitches. The trigger breaks clean, but is heavy for a SAO. Disassembly is pretty much like the rest. Putting the recoil spring back in is not easy and the barrel gets caught on the ejector if it twists. I thought there was something wrong, but Sig said this is how it is. I'm getting better at it. I'm using a Galco IWB STO664 holster, appendix carry. I can sit comfortably without getting poked in the leg. There are many variations of this gun and prices. I prefer the nitron finish and wood grips, so for once, the model I liked best was the least expensive.

Very satisfied with my P-938. I ordered this pistol on Sunday Evening and received it on Wednesday. It is one great pistol. Thanks to the staff at Buds gun shop for getting this order Out on time. This is my second order from Buds gun shop. I plan on ordering from them again.

The pistol is very tight. But I expect it to loosen up after a little range time. I am pleased with the product, especially when I saved over a hundred dollars with the make an offer system. However I am not pleased with the shipping of Buds. It took 11 days from the time I paid for it til it arrived at my FFL.

I agree with the review by Rick S. My P938, manufactured in September 2013, has been flawless through the first 450 rounds. 400 of those were 115g FMJ range ammo (Winchester white box, PMC Bronze and Freedom Munitions). The remaining 50 were 124g JHP (Remington Golden Sabers and Speer Gold Dots). No failure to feed/fire or ejection issues at all. This is an excellent shooting small gun. IMHO, SIG has addressed the early issues and anyone researching this gun online should ignore any comments from 2012 or early 2013. My only disagreement with Rick is that this is actually the ideal pocket gun. Only slightly larger than the very popular .380 guns but using the more highly regarded 9mm round. There are several very good pocket holster options to chose from (I chose one from recluseholster.com). I can also highly recommend the custom wood grips from highfiguregrips.com. If you are thinking about buying this gun, just do it!! Bud's service was excellent also.

I read and read many reviews by other owners of the P938. If you are researching you will find mixed reviews all over the internet but I am convinced that most people that get problem guns tend to voice their opinions more frequently and louder than folks with guns that function properly. I read good and bad but decided to take the plunge and get this gun. I do believe that all the kinks/bugs with this model have been addressed by SIG. I have shot over 500 rounds through it without a single issue of any kind. This is THE ideal carry gun for IWB carry in my opinion. Safe to say it is too big for pocket carry but IWB, this thing gets buried easily, making discrete carry much more feasible and comfortable. I know some folks carry full size 1911's but that is definitely not for me. This gun is the perfect size and format for IWB carry. I have tried to carry DAO pistols but I simply cannot get comfortable with a ‘safety less’ carry gun with a round chambered. But that’s just me and where my comfort level is at. I know that everyone is different on that issue. Although this gun does not have a traditional 1911 style grip safety, it does have a stiff ambidextrous thumb safety that I trust even when the gun is in the cocked and locked state during carry. I am a lefty so the ambi safety is a must. I also found that I don’t really care for polymer carry guns. I get that the objective is make light carry guns and polymer accomplishes that but the way they feel and shoot just doesn’t compare to an all metal gun like the P938. The night sights are really helpful during twilight and in the dark while using a flashlight in pitch dark. I have found that when aiming at a lit target using a flashlight in my other hand that regular sights are tough to picture quickly but the night sights on this gun completely resolve that issue. I got the black Nitron version with Rosewood grips but bought a pair of mahogany grips from highfiguregrips.com that really make it stand out with a classier custom look. The gun only came with one 6 round magazine so I bought 2 of the extended 7 round mags. If you have medium to large hands like me the 7 round mag will allow you to firmly wrap all fingers on the gun comfortably. With the standard 6 round mag you will have no room at all for the pinky finger, making the gun slightly awkward to shoot when trying to manage recoil. I never use the 6 round mag as a result. Accuracy is really good. I can shoot a flea in the nuts at 15 yards. The checkering on the front and back of the strap is helpful in maintaining a firm grip. All in all, I am really happy with this pistol as a primary IWB carry gun. Quality is outstanding, accuracy superb, manageable recoil, feels comfortable in hand, price is right, Sig is known to back their guns when needed, 9mm adequate for carry, lots of features for the price, all metal, great feeling trigger, custom holsters widely available. If you are on the fence just buy it. Chances are high that you will be pleased. I am super picky about my guns and this one passes with flying colors.
