*Limited quantity* *Shot Show Special* The legendary handling and quickness of the Model 70 Featherweight is famous among hunters everywhere, and the 257 Roberts offers great flexibility between the low recoil, and flat trajectory of varmit hunting and the power needed to tackle large game. This limited-production Model 70 chambered in 257 Roberts offers Pre-64 style controlled-round feeding and a three-position safety. It is highlighted by a jeweled bolt body with a knurled handle for sure traction. Like the original Featherweight, the angled comb Grade I walnut stock still features the gently-flared Schnabel forend, satin-finished with elegant cut checkering. And though the bolt action is made for right-handed shooters, the stock is symmetric and can work for either a left-hand or right-hand shooter. It has the awesome M.O.A. Trigger System - with zero take up, zero creep and zero overtravel. A premium Pachmayr Decelerator pad helps soak up felt recoil. This is a limited-availability, Shot Show buy.

These are good 'uns. Very good fit and finish. I believe they were all part of a short run that is over now. Snap up one of the 7x57's if you can. FW's are a good weight and have good balance. And they've got the nifty schnabel forend.

Mine has a fairly dark, plain brown walnut stock. The bolt is not as brightly jeweled as the old NH guns. The thick decelerator pad is not necessary for a 'bob. The trigger is a little stiff right out of the box, but can be adjusted. Still, very nice Model 70 in a caliber that fits it well. Very cool rifle.

I've been looking for a 257 Roberts for a while now and I've wanted to pick up one of the FN-made Winchester Model 70s; so I killed two birds with one stone with this order. The rifle feels light and well-balanced. Fit and finish appear very good. You won't confuse the stock with that of a Super Grade, but it's a handsome walnut with excellent checkering. I can't speak to the rifle's accuracy or reliability as I haven't had the chance to get it out to the range.
