There is nothing like the feel of a sleek over-and -under shotgun in your hands, especially when the flush of a cackling rooster explodes from cover so close by that you can feel the pulses of air from it's powerful wingbeat. The Mossberg International Silver Reserve series features: two combos a 12/20 ga. and a 20/28 ga. Both of these combos have blued Barrels with chrome -plated chambers and bores, and wide ventilated rib. They have beautifully scrolled silver receivers, and Turkish Walnut stocks.

This is a great gun for the price. I got the combo, which includes both 12 gauge and 20 gauge barrels. So, I like the flexibility of having both options, and my wife can also use the 20 gauge barrels for clay pigeons. The stock and action are really well built, and beautifully made. My only issue with the gun is that when the 12 gauge barrels are used, the top lever does not lock in the center of the stock; it stays slightly to the right (towards the open position). With the 20 gauge barrels, the top lever is centered, which is odd.

Looks good for the price but overall very disappointed. Poor engraving. Chokes had several burrs. Had several light strikes after the break in process.

Great buy for those getting into sporting clays. The gun shoots well and the 12 & 20 gauge combo is a wonderful way to bring more value to the package. I shot both last weekend and the change over only takes a minute. The reason I gave it only 4 stars is because the break action is very stiff, but it seems to be getting better after use. 5 stars though for value. Worth every penny.

Sorry, to soon to give my opinion on the firearm other than I'm pleased with the look and quality..... as for Buds, again great service getting me my firearm. I'll continue buying most of my firearms from Buds.

I was looking for a good quality, yet affordable O/U and the Silver Reserve Combo fills the bill. While the price point is very reasonable, the metal and woodwork were very acceptable on this gun. There are some machine marks visible in hidden areas and the wood is relatively plain, however it is still a handsome piece. Not heirloom quality, but a solid field gun I won't be ashamed to pull out. The wood on my gun actually had some figure and a hint of fiddleback grain in both of the two fore-stocks. I could not be happier overall. In essence I picked up 2 nice O/U's for just under a grand - you can't beat that! Functionality is good. The combination safety/barrel selector can be a little stiff and if you don't have it fully engaged in one position or the other, the weapon will not fire, so watch this. The overall balance is slightly muzzel heavy, but not terrible and the weapon shoulders nicely with a natural point. Aside from the slight balance issue the weapon tracks well. I would have preferred a fiber optic front bead, however the classic metal is still functional and easliy replaced. Nice gun!

I have owned many shotguns, both high end and entry. I wanted a daily shooter with the ability to change between 12 and 20. After several sporting clays session, the shotgun has exceeded my expectations. Make no mistake, this is not a Beretta in terms of fit and finish. However, it is an attractive double set that has been great at breaking clays. It points and swings quite well. Most importantly for a shotgun, it shoulders well and fits my body/build.

This is my third over under shotgun. The mossberg silver reserve ii represents a significant value factor in the combo version. Overall I was pleasantly surprised with not only the transaction through buds, but also the product. The gun points well and having both 12 and 20 gauge is a very nice feature. If you spend much time behind a gun shooting skeet, you'll come to appreciate a light recoil 20 gauge compared to the 12. The triggers on this gun feel as though they are rough/need polished possibly. But again, I knew when I purchased this combo I was buying a beretta combo and also didn't pay beretta prices. I have yet to shoot this at the range but have plans this Sunday. Overall the fit of the gun is acceptable. Again no beretta but wood to metal fit is almost right. The wood almost seems fame only because the finaihung is so perfect on it. The checkering is not hand done it is laser cut and is perfect. Receiver is nice but came with one minor metal blemish on the bottom. This only being noticeable when you feel and look close. The jewleing on the receiver block is decent but uneven in each barrel set. The action is very tight. I am hoping it loosens with use. I purchased this combo with the lifetime warranty through buds. This facet alone made buds the only place I considered for this firearm purchase. Chokes for this gun were included in ok plastic cases. One choke lacks blurring on the end. A couple other chokes have rough threading and were hard to start even when lined properly. I will likely purchase evtended skeet chokes anyways so I'm not overly concerned. As an fyi the 20 gauge takes huglu chokes and the 12 beretta/benelli Mobil chokes. The gun does not come with a hard case and ships secure but in a cardboard box. Kind of a disappointment and oversight by Mossberg. I am sure that many would have been willing to pay a couple bucks more for even a semi decent dedicated case. I chose to go with a plano 36" all weather case for this combo - worth consideration of you make the purchase. The barrels have a simple bead sight and I intend to upgrade to a finer optic for each barrel. Be sure to also purchase some snap caps for one of the gauges in order to release the mechanical triggers when breaking the gun down. The but pad is curved fitting nice but seemingly not giving much for protection against recol. The safety is also a selector - u for under o for over. I will set on u 90% of the time. O only to be used for turkey hunting.
