Great basic, simple, easy to use shotgun for a fair price and fast shipping, thanks BUD'S.

Received, disassembled, cleaned and lubed. I polished the hammer sear and used a stack of double sided tape to make a trigger stop to overcome the trigger overtravel. I estimate the modified trigger to be at 4.5 pounds. Then I took to the range. Fired some birdshot to feel it out then 100 rounds of various buck. Federal flight control patterned the best of course. Herters buck and ball was good too. No jams or misfeeds Tried some ranger slugs and determined the gun shot slightly right at 15 yards. I found a Williams ghost ring rear sight on eBay for 12$. I disassembled the ring part and ground off the bottom dovetail flat with an angle grinder. Refinished with some aluminum bluing and mounted with a double side tape. Fired 5 more slugs to find the left right zero and then JB welded to the receiver. Sitting low, the green dots ghost ring meshes with the red front rifle sight. I also shortened the stock to 13.5 length of pull. I put the old buttpad back on but need to find a slightly smaller one for a better fit. The gun is bone simple, easy to disassemble and very easy work on. I weighed it and found it was 6 pounds. Works great for me as I only shoot low recoil buck and slug. I like it because it’s light and cheap and I can modify without being concerned about messing up an $400-700 shotgun. I keep it in my truck and if it’s somehow stolen it’s not a great loss.

Good solid shotgun. It will be good for a closet or truck shotgun.

First purchase from buds and great customer service . Had a few issues feeding issues with low brass filed and polished a little feed ramp and now she eats anything from mini shells to rifled slugs. The action is really smooth too! I modified an ati AR style Mossberg 500/maverick 88 stock for it to top it off.

tried out my new Escort Aimguard 12 gauge pump action shotgun today and was very pleased with smoothness of the action and it's accuracy. My only problem is that I could not get more than three 3" shells into the shotgun. Is there some way I can get to use the full capacity of 5 + 1 in the weapon?

I bought this shotgun in early December 2015. I received it at my local FFL. I took it out of the box and inspected it and was happy with it's appearance. I cycled the action a couple of times, and for the price that I paid ($185), I was actually surprised as to how smooth the action cycled. I then took it home, disassembled it and cleaned it up a little bit and lubed it. Took a brick of #8 target loads (purchased from Wal-Mart) to the range and cycled the action open and popped one round into the side-ejection port and cycled the action closed. I took aim at the paper target and pulled the trigger and it fired, so Initially, I was happy. I then cycled the action and ejected the empty shell. Popped in another round into the side-ejection port and cycled the action closed. I then loaded 3 more rounds under the shotgun through the loading port. I pulled the trigger and it fired. Then, I attempted to cycle the action to eject the empty shell, but the action would completely lock-up tight (I wasn't short-shucking it either|). I then had to release the 3 live rounds from the loading port and disassemble the shotgun and used a rod to punch out the empty shell through the barrel. I tried this over-n-over again many times I would encounter the same lock-up problem. With a brick of 25 shells, I probably only shot about 12 rounds or so, and in those 12 rounds, I probably had the action lock-up about 6 (maybe 8?) times, if not a little more. I would have to disassemble and clear out the shell, and then reassemble again--many, many times. WIth Hatsan Legacy 5-year warranty, I sent it back to their warranty/repair center in Reno, Nv. on February 16th, 2016, and received it back from them about 8 days later (around Feb, 24th). I finally was able to take it to the range today (3/2/16) and brought a brick of 25-#8 target loads (same leftover shells from the first range trip). I fired all 25 rounds on today's range trip, but yet, I still encounter the same action lock-up "just" 3 times on this trip, which to me, is a lot better than the first range trip, but still, Not ACCEPTABLE, especially when I bought this shotgun with intention of using it as a home defense shotgun. NOT GOOD!!! Maybe I just received a "lemon" shotgun. I don't know if I'll send it back for another warranty repair job, or just leave it the way it is. Reading the return invoice from the warranty/repair center, it stated that what they did was: (1) "FIT LOCKING BLOCK AND CARRIER" (whatever that means) (2) "POLISHED CHAMBER" (3) "TEST FIRED WITH 20 ROUNDS OF FEDERAL 2-3/4" AND 5 ROUNDS OF WINCHESTER 3' SHELLS " With that, i find it extremely hard to believe that whoever test fired the shotgun at the warranty/repair center before shipping it back to me, was even able to fired all 25 rounds without a single problem....I find that hard to believe. And if they did encounter a problem or so, I think they should have remedied the problem before shipping it back to me. Those 25 test fired rounds should have went WITHOUT a single problem. With that, I can't either recommend, or not recommend this shotgun, since a few other reviewers gave it good ratings, and again, maybe I just received a "lemon" shotgun. I give it 2 stars because the shotgun isn't reliable, but yet, as a home defense shotgun, maybe that 1, hopefully 2 shots would be all that it would take to deal with the threat. "Legacy Sports International" employee was friendly and helped me with the warranty service, and with a quick "turn-around" time. Buds, as always, was fantastic to deal with.
