Ruger Super Redhawk Alaskan Stainless 2.5" 480 Ruger Revolver - 2.5" Barrel, 6 Rounds

Awesome service and firearm.

Sometimes I have to question some reviews. I recently purchased this hand cannon, and the look, feel, and workmanship exceeds what I expected from reading various reviews. I own the Super Blackhawk Bisley in .480 Ruger as well. Both purchased from Buds and both firearms are excellent. However this Alaskan has become my personal favorite. And the recoil was as anticipated, not for the inexperienced. Service from Buds was outstanding.

Bought the firearm from Buds and it arrived within 3 days. Very quick service. The .480 Alaskan isn't heavy as other .480's out there. Accuracy is decent at 7 and 15 yards. The recoil is 20% more than a .44 magnum; however, you don't get the muzzle blast like you do from a .454. Handles factory and reloads well and no problems at all with case extraction. Overall very solid and well built. Sights are plain and a lite pipe front sight is available at Ruger. Recoil is noticeable but I think the .480 Alaskan is a great alternative to folks who find the X-frame a little too big in their hands. Overall, worth the money and a well built gun.

Looks fine but heard something rattler

This was more of an impulse buy. I really had no reference for this handgun. But, the caliber size intrigued me. Plus, Ruger has always been a fine brand. When I received it I took it to the range and WOW! The power and energy was impressive to say the least. My grouping was pretty good. I don’t anticipate ever running into a bear in the near future, but if I do. I am most definitely prepared! Thanks Buds Gun Shop!

This is a Beast and does everything that I wanted it too. Couldn't be happier with the purchase and Bud's has been excellent with each purchase. The gun goes BOOM with each shot and each time I bring it out to the range I get a crowd that just want to see the gun. Ruger has built a tank and without a doubt has a customer for life.

Accurate and well-made revolver. This model has the newer MIM trigger, which surprisingly, is superior in build and function, to the cast trigger on my other Ruger SRH. I had this item on layaway, and the purchase experience was smooth and professional. Buds sent immediate confirmations upon receiving payments, and the revolver shipped to my FFL about 3 days after Buds received my final payment. Excellent product from Ruger, and excellent service from Buds.
