CIA VZ 762X39 RIFLE - 16.3" Barrel, Synthetic, Folding Stock

Purchased this CIA VZ2008 7.62X39 MONTHS AGO, AND PUT SEVERAL HUNDRED ROUNDS THROUGH IT. THE CIA RIFLE HAS PREGORMED FLAWLESSLY. ACCURATE UP TO 100 YRDS USING IRON SIGHTS

The rifle speaks for itself. I am about to shoot for the first time, but so far the rifle appears to be in order. I hate the stock muzzle break, canted as it is, and I was not able to get it back to its original , which is okay because I just don't want it. The muzzle threading seems fine otherwise, but the button is hard to depress. As other comments note, the button to release the folding stock is extremely stiff, I actually use a two pound hammer or mallet to release it often. Sometimes you get lucky and it works with your hands. Both take-down pins were very tough the first time, but afterwards just fine.

Although the VZ58, is a great gun, I cannot say the same about this CAI build. QC needs to step up their efforts, and make sure these guns are fully functional before sending them out the door. The powdercoating/finish on this gun is down right horrible. The gas tube pin has so much on it that it will not simply pull out (as a VZ pin should). The bolt sticks constantly, even after a good through cleaning and lubing. Three times to the range and still the same problems. Feeds reliably for 3-4 shots, then jams with a FTF. I would strongly suggest that consumer stay away from this gun and buy something else.

This rifle is the VZ 2008 sporter, an american made vz 58 by century arms in 762x39. The receiver and barrel are made by century and the quad rail hanguard and pistol grip are made by FAB Defense and the forward hand grip is made by tapco. Everything else is surplus czech parts including magazine. Visually the refinishing I assume century did on the surplus (minus mag) is not the best which isnt that big a deal to me, its smooth on the receiver and barrel but not on some parts of the stock and sight bases. Came very dry with some things like the folding stock very stiff, good clean/oil fixed it right up. Its an excellent rifle other than minor visual issues, points and shoulders well, good sights and very light, much lighter than a standard ak despite being a milled receiver, no mag wobble either. Only shot 60 rounds through and accuracy is pretty good provided I do my part. Buds Shipped fast and provided excellent service as always
