I ordered a ProMag M&P9 magazine because the price was much lower than the S&W magazine. I also have the two S&W magazines that came with my M&P9.

When I put a couple of rounds in the ProMag and loaded my M&P9, I immediately had a jam (round got stuck on the ramp). When I compared a loaded S&W mag to the ProMag, I saw that the top of the ProMag was pinching the round a bit tighter than the S&W. This resulted in the round not angling up as much as it should have been (i.e., it was more parallel to the slide).

I also noticed that when pushing rounds out of the ProMag with my thumb that they would not slide out smoothly.

I was thinking of prying open the top of the ProMag magazine to try to fix the problem, but I plan to return the ProMag and spend the extra $ on S&W mags, as overall the S&W build quality seems better.

Another important point about the ProMag is that the floor plate is much harder to get off than that of the S&W. I gave up after a while because I plan to return it anyway.

The spring in these magazines are looser then the factory m&p9 magazines which isn't great but they function flawlessly. These are my range mags because of the looser spring. Definitely would purchase these again.

Ordered 2 with the storm lake conversion barrel for my s&w 40 . They work great. The clip looked loose when installed but soon discovered the gap was natural. For the price can't complain. Great product.

These work as good as any pistol mags I have ever used. They work fine in my Police Trade in S&W MP 40 with my Storm Lake 9mm conversion barrel. Bud's was the best price again and fast shipping. Thanks
