Awesome rifle, happily surprised at the low recoil. Buds service top notch as usual. Thanks

Showed up with a broken detent on the front sight allowing the blade to slide completely out. The box showed evidence of very rough handling during shipping. Ruger had a new part to me in less than a week at no cost to me. The rifle is well built with a good feel. Stock/barrel combo make it only a couple inches longer than a Marlin 336 in 35Rem with double the bullet weight making it an ideal brush gun. The compensator makes recoil very manageable if you are familiar with similar medium bore rifles. I recently hunted Cape buffalo with a 375H&H and honestly think the 375 has equal if not more felt recoil and was rather cumbersome in the tall grass. The trigger is fairly heavy but breaks clean. I was concerned with reviews that reported the second round in the magazine jamming in the feed ramp. Rest assured, if you use the bolt properly you will have no problems. The bolt is not meant to be handled lightly or short stroked. Use strong and deliberate motions and it will load very smoothly and reliably. The express sights are very easy to use and are very easy to align quickly on such a short rifle. I have not tested it on any medium or long range shots and cannot review accuracy past 50 yards. Accuracy in close has been limited only by the skill of the shooter and seems to be more than acceptable for a short range dangerous game rifle. Considering past customer service experiences with each company I would certainly buy this rifle over a CZ550 of any variety. The hornady DG rounds served me well on my last safari and at $60 from buds you can't beat it the power or reliability. Buds was very fast with the shipping and is always a pleasure to work with. Buy this rifle with confidence and then practice, practice, practice. Happy hunting! 4 for front sight issues. Recommend short range scope as the detent appears to be a single point of failure for dangerous game purposes.

Bud's is such a pleasure to work with. Layaway worked great. Transferred the money and it was sent out to my FFL, with tracking and notices all along the way. The price was better by $300-$500 than anybody around (and I had been watching for 2 years). My FFL keeps asking why I use Bud's so much and don't buy more from him. Straight up - huge selection of what I want at better prices. Product arrived safely, although on the Ruger end they could use a better box and key package placeholders. Thank you.

I just purchased this rifle from Bud's and i like the gun a lot, it fits me great and the express sights are wonderful. The bad thing is the rifle is really struggling to feed. The first and third cartridge (both coming out of the right side of the magazine) kicks to the left when coming out of the magazine and jams up on the chamber. this gouges the brass and bullet pretty horribly. Not good at all on a dangerous game rifle. I will be sending it back to Ruger for them to remedy the issue. From what i can gather Ruger has been having issues with rifles in this caliber feeding properly. I will post a follow up review once i get it back. I really hope they fix it, i really like the rifle and if they get it feeding reliably i will be overjoyed and give a rave review, but for now i am extremely disappointed in the rifle.
