This model showcases John M. Browning’s original takedown design for a rifle that comes apart quickly for easy transporting just about anywhere.
The versatile Model 94 is perfect for hunting in thick brush for hogs and other fast-moving game. The Trails End Takedown in 450 Marlin is fitted with a Pachmayr® Decelerator® recoil pad. Select your caliber and get after it.
You can take down the Model 94 into two compact components – the barrel assembly and the stocked receiver assembly – then slip it into your backpack, wrap it in your bedroll, strap it on your ATV or tuck it behind the seat of your truck, boat or bush plane. Reassembly is easy. Put the two pieces together, give the end of the magazine tube a few turns and you have a full-length rifle with the same superb accuracy as the other models.
The hammer is drilled and tapped for knurled hammer spur extension (included) to aid in cocking and decocking the hammer when a scope is mounted. A Marble Arms® front sight and adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight get you on target quickly. The steel loading gate offers smoother loading. Articulated cartridge stop improves feeding reliability without damaging cartridges. The receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounts to easily attach your favorite optics.

I am 67 years old and my shooting accuracy with a pistol has deteriorated and this is my hand gun replacement project. The 38-55 appears to be slightly more powerful than a .44 magnum and has the bullet has a higher cross sectional density than the 44 magnum. Ammunition is still available for 38-55, as opposed to being unavailable for the 44 magnum rifle I also have.
I intend to replace the rear buck horn sight with a Marble's bull's eye sight. With the angle eject feature and the pre-drilled for weaver scope mounts, there is also the option of adding a scope.
Parts are available from Winchester for this Miroku mfg. rifle, as opposed to the unavailability of parts for Model 94's manufactured at New Haven, CN.
Also I appreciate the flat butt plate. I would like to obtain a 38-55 with a longer barrel. Unfortunately the long barreled Miroku M94 rifle is equipped with a curved butt plate (amplifies instead of disperses recoil).
I ordered a M94 Commemorative Chief Crazy Horse 38-55 rifle from another vendor, which arrived with a broken stock and bent receiver tang. I spent about 3 days documenting everything, with about 3 pages of emails, and had to file a claim with VISA to convince the competing vendor to issue a refund.

Wish they made the ballistic tip ammo otherwise you use flat tip ammo. If you want a scope get rings that you can see thru to the open sights.
