Remington Model 700 LSS Ultimate .50 Caliber Muzzleloader Black Powder Rifle

Very accurate and easy to load the primed cartridges. Also easy to "unload" to render the gun inoperable for legally transporting it from hunting spot to hunting spot. I wouldn't leave the powder in the barrel when the day is over, but it's nice to have the option of removing and then easily replacing the primer. I mounted a variable power scope on it and it is a legitimate 200 yard shooter.

Wow!! What a Muzzleloader, what a deal from Buds Gun Shop, I borrowed my friends UML a year ago and realized that I needed my own personal UML for future hunts, Remington has put together a monster of a modern-day Muzzleloader, what's impressive about buying from Buds is that you have the option of a layaway- plan which I did until I had the extra loot to pay it off in full. I plan on topping this UML with an Aimpoint hunter when it becomes available!!.

Excellent muzzle loader! One shot one kill! Very accurate too!

I have been super impressed with this muzzleloader. The ease of use, the accuracy, not having to deal with a breach plug it's hand down the best on the market

I took it to the range for the first time and put 24 hots down range. I am happy with the 100 yard groups I shot, under 2" with the Remington supplied bullets and 200 grains of Triple 7. Before firing it I swabbed the barrel with T/C pre-saturated cleaning patches and was shocked at how many it took to clean the barrel out( at least a dozen). They must shoot it at the factory a lot, or I got a test rifle. I also swabbed between each shot. I will say this - the bore is tight. I mean really, really, tight. With just the cleaning patches on the supplied jag it was very hard to push the patches down the barrel and very hard to pull the ramrod back up. As a matter of fact, in order to get more leverage I screwed a longer jag on the opposite end and while trying to pull it back up the bronze jag broke leaving the male threaded end in my ramrod. Loading the supplied Premier AccuTip bullets is difficult too - make sure you have a short starter on hand. I got on Remington's website and ordered a 27" Brass Ramrod w/removable T-hande for my next range trip. Also I noticed my rifle only has 2 sling swivels, not 3 as shown in Bud's pictures. Overall, I'm pleased. Love the 700 platform, love the ignition system and the Bell and Carlson stock. I prefer the handling and ergonomics of the Ultimate muzzleloader over my Thompson/Center Pro Hunter.
