Ruger American Rimfire .22 Mag 18" Threaded Satin Blue Steel Synthetic Stock 9+1 - 18" Barrel, 9+1 Rounds, Synthetic, Black Stock

I set this rifle up with a Leupold 3x9 and use my Sparrow on it. Matches my .22LR version. Haven’t had any problems with it and it’s just an accurate as the LR.

I really like this gun, many put scopes on it, I am so tempted it is very accurate, I did have to drift the rear site right to get it close enough for my needs. The sight drifts easily (maybe a bit too easily) at 50 yards it is sub MOA. I think that means within an inch if it doesn't mean that the gun with iron sights is within an inch. Like most rim fires it tends to prefer certain ammunition. Mine prefers Remington 40 grain, the CCI 40 grain dose not cycle as fast. I have no idea why or really care why. This is a farm truck and tractor gun used for coyotes and Rattlesnakes that don't rattle. If the sight drifts banging around in truck or tractor it will get a rail and a red dot. This rifle is just a tool not a work of art which is exactly why I bought it. It is a USA made nail hammer not a sledge hammer. I already got a sledge hammer it lives in the safe. Great starter gun and easily good out to 100 yards or so the way it comes. I did read a couple of reviews that complain that the bolt lever sticks out too far and snags easily on limbs and brush. Maybe its just me but on the very rare occasions i go thru thick brush I don't have it or any other rifle for that matter on my back. I use it to push limbs and brush out of my way. It wont bother me scratching a utilitarian 370$ rifle. One more review i read was someone was unable to reduce the trigger pull, mine I did not have that problem I followed the destructions and turned the front of trigger counter clockwise looking at the screw, 1/2 turn checked the pull did it again checked it. It took 3 1/2 turns and one 1/4 turn to have a 3.2 lb. trigger. If someone has that same issue call Ruger customer service they will make it right. Buds as always shipped it quickly once my e-check cleared. FYI if you want it fast pay with a card and forgo the 10 or 15 bucks cash savings. Very happy with this gun and as always very happy with Buds.

Nice little gun. I just wish Ruger made a better or knurled bolt knob in the American line. the thing is round and smooth as a glass marble, hard to grip. there are aftermarket knobs but you have to replace the handle too which is threaded, then you have a choice of knobs. im about to try one of those clamp on dealios for my centerfire ranch. not sure if they work on rimfires though. at least give us the pic rails for a scope. adjustable stock is nice, comes with high and low comb. must purchase compact or shorter LOP stock, also high or low. threaded barrel is a bonus.

Another fine Ruger Product. Bolt action 22WMR that shoots straight and far beyond what I need it to. I reside in Guam, so...no prairie dogs, but monitor lizards beware!!!

Absolutely wonderful rifle! Great bolt, great trigger, and super-accurate, even while using a .30 suppressor. Well worth the money. Nice job Ruger!
