One of the best AR 10s I have purchased. Super light and very accurate.

Recoil, recoil, recoil...there is NONE to speak of. I love the weight of the rifle and its stability in multiple shooting positions. I am slightly negative about the high trigger weight. Though it is two stage, it takes significant pressure to fire the rifle. A Timney trigger is in our future. Great rifle!!!

Worst firearm I've ever purchased The barrel came loose from the receiver after two rounds. These weren't handloads they were store bought ammo. I've contacted Remington nd they asked for it to be sipped to them for repair. So for $1,400 I'm getting a reconditioned firearm. Not only is it no longer usable but even firing it the two times was a safety risk. DO NOT BUY Remington anymore.

Great camo finish, gun feels great in your hands, very accurate. Recoils not to bad. But with all that said, when I took it to the rang the gun would not cycle threw. It would shoot the round that’s was in chamber but would not put another round in the chamber with out me manually doing it with the charging handle. So I took the gun apart and lubed it up. Took it back out and then it starting to shoot correctly. The gun Is very tight from the factory. I’m going to take it out again and put some more rounds threw it and see if it will continue to cycle threw the rounds. If not I’m going to send it back to Remington. If the gun becomes very reliable it will be a great gun bc of how accurate it is for a gas gun

Rifle had a miss fire and jammed on 1round 11. The primers in the spent cartridges have holes punched through them from the firing pin.

Excellence in a Box. From the look and feel to the performance.. you will know you have something special when you pick up this beauty of a rifle. Can't beat the price either. Very happy with my purchase. Buds made the transaction quick and easy. 5 stars

Yes it's a G2! As usual can't beat Bud's prices and delivery time. Have not mounted an optic or fired yet but so far fit and finish looks good. Exactly what I wanted in a hog shooting AR, lightweight and 20in barrel. I own a few Remington's and this is the first one that did not have an owners manual. I was present when my FFL opened the outer box so I don't know if it got pilfered at Buds or one never got included contrary to the packing list. The Rem www still lists the Gen1 manual pdf, have yet to call them and inquire.

I purchased this from Bud's and everything went great on their end. I decided on this firearm because of what it offered for the price. On paper, it's nearly perfect for its intended purpose. Wish the barrel was threaded, but I can have that done. However, we I received it, there were several quality issues from Remington. Most notably, the dust cover would not open when I cycled the bolt. The barrel and gas block were over torqued and did not line up with the handguard. They were a few degrees over tightened. There were two chips in the camo finish, one by the bolt catch release and the other on the forward assist. Another issue was the finish in general. I doubt the finish is sprayed on (probably dipped), but how I would describe the issue was there appeared to be over spray onto the picatinny rail. It was a small line for the length of the receiver and just looked like it wasn't masked off well. Not a huge deal but all of these issues combined led me to believe that their quality control is lacking. This rifle took two years to get to market after being announced due to manufacturing delays and issues, so it appears not all kinks are worked out. I sent in the rifle for repair and they decided to replace it. I am awaiting my replacement but it's been 2 1/2 months. I should have given it a better look over at the FFL dealer before accepting transfer. Remington does have a lifetime warranty on their firearms now, so that is a plus.

I bought the R25 GII .308 after much research into the MSR hunting platform. I originally looked at the DPMS line of .308s which this gun basically is but marketed thru Remington in its hunting msr line. This gun is specifically designed for a hunting platform, and that is what i bought it for. I used the layaway program Bud's offers and received a flawless rifle from them. Bud's service was excellent, as I received email updates along every step of the process. The rifle itself is great. The picture that Bud's has is of the older generation R25, as the one I wanted and received has the open, light-weight stock (which I wanted). The rifle is light for a .308, but solid, and weighs in out of the box 7 lbs. It shoots very well, and the 20" barrel is accurate. In approximately 100 rounds thru it, I have experienced zero failures and it ejects nice looking spent brass. It has now been outfitted with a Burris Elite 6500 2.5-16x42 scope, making it my go-to hog hunting gun. If you are interested in this type rifle, I highly recommend it.
