If you guys were going to buy the Barrett M99 would you get the 29" Fluted Barrel or heavy 32". It seems it is a 2 pound difference at 23lb and 25lb. Thanks

With a Barrett 50 cal .. Definitely get the heavy barrel. Seriously, what are 2 pounds, when you're talking 23 or 25? Heavy barrels just last longer, and stay true.

Scotty, tI would get the 29" Fluted Barrel due to the lower weight and fluted Barrel for heat dissipation.

It's a 50, what else do I say! On a serious note, if you are looking for an entry 50BMG, then go with the most reputable manufacturer, which Barrett is. Rock solid make and craftsmanship.
