Wow! What a great addition to my collection... I ordered it on Monday and picked it up from my FFL on Friday (came in Thursday). Took my wife to the range to check it out; used .410 shot gun shells through it. 2 shots; 20 hits dead center. This is the ultimate driver gun; I Love this gun and would recommend Bud's to anyone. The only place I purchase from anymore. Thanks Bud!!!

Gun arrived in perfect condition . I have not had the opportunity to fire it yet but I do expect some recoil when that happens. The gun is built like a tank and operates very smoothly. Nice to see what American ingenuity can produce. Glad they are in business !

I like the Snakeslayer although it is in no way compatible with Freedom Arms. Mine came missing a screw. The front strap was milled unevenly so there is a uneven gap visible with the grip. Most odd, the barrel or frame seems made with sloppy tolerances. The barrel does not sit on the frame centered on any axis. There is a large gap on the left side when viewed from top or front. The over/under is not directly over and under. The barrels point about 10 degrees to the right of the frame centerline. These are all very obvious things you would expect QA or basically anyone to notice prior to shipping. Also came extremely hard to open/close, probably as a result. The quality of the materials is very good, the workmanship not so much. During testing we found #6 good for the snake/bunny/frog role; PDX-1 2.5" and 3.5" not really that impressive on medium/hard media but looks great on gelatin; Hornady Critical Defense pretty impressive and #000 very good all around. .45 Colt rounds controllable out to 20 yards or so. I would carry one #000 and one .45 handload. All shotshells started producing flyers outside 3m which is a major consideration for the ethical defensive shooter. An interesting niche item and fun to mess around with, very small and easy to carry. I'll probably trade it for something else.

Not much one can add about Bond Arms quality. It is outstanding! These derringers have excellent fit and finish, and they are built like battle ships. Those double .45 bores remind me of the massive sixteen inch guns on said battle ships. I tend to think of these gems as "pocket Howitzers." My wife loves hers and has much more confidence grabbing it to investigate noises in the night than her .38 Airweight. This was my first internet firearms purchase, and Bud's made it a pleasant experience. If and when the need again arises, Bud's will be my first stop.
