I am happy with this Henry rifle and purchasing it. It seems to be of high quality, unlike those made by other companies in the past. It is very light weight, a pleasure to hold. It points very naturally and it wii take Hyper-Velocity as well as Standard Velocity ammo. Happy I chose this one over other take-down rifles.

I really like this rifle. I purchased an extra magazine from Henry since it comes with 2 but a third can be stored in the receiver and still fit inside the butt stock. It is a bit ammo sensitive and prefers CCI mini mags over anything else I\'ve tried in it so far.

As advertised... BuDs rocks....flawless ordering (done via my phone) & pickup from my FFL. The gun: Super simple assembly and wicked accurate right out the box. Sights are quirky but easy to get used to. Only FTF was the ammo\'s fault... 38 Grain Blue Federal. (3 fails out of 50). I\'d stick with CCI\'s Velocitor.

I'm really happy with my purchase, I added this to my SHTF/Survival style kit. It shoots well, takes all types of ammo, and is pretty dang accurate with the iron sights. It's no range baby or target rifle, but it does exactly what it was intended to do, and that is work when you need it. Its rugged and duarable. Putting it together is easy and takedown is easy. My only complaint is be careful when you're taking off the rubber butt stock to access the parts, because if you would just the rear sight in any way the rubber catches the little piece of metal tgat is the peep sight and it bent on me once or twice. Don't be discouraged though it was a really easy fix just take off the screw in the piece of metal and straighten it out. The gun is extremely lightweight and fits in the backpack very nicely. Parts for this gun are not as plentiful as they would be if you purchased a Ruger 10/22 or Marlin 795. I'll put it this way, if you're looking for a very compact 22 survival rifle that you want to be rugged and reliable get the AR7, if you're looking to plink all day with a 22 rifle that's very accurate and parts are plentiful, go with the Ruger or Marlin. For the money you wont be dissapointed but its nothing extraordinary.

I really wasn't expecting much when I purchased this little rifle. I bought it more as a novelty than anything else. It doesn't have a great trigger, and it's certainly not overly comfortable to shoot. However, this thing just shoots straight and true, and has fired every time the triggers been pulled. The accuracy is far better than I expected as well. It's absolutely what it says it is...a survival rifle. The Henry US Survival Rifle will get you home, keep you fed, and even provide a measure of protection if needed. It does all this for a price that's more than fair. I'd call this rifle very high value. Buy it from Bud's with confidence!

Just got to shoot the henry. Yes it is a shooter. I used blazer brass, winchester superx, American eagle, mini mags hp and rn it performed flawlessly. Out of 400 or so rounds I had one ftf and that was eley target ammo. I keep it in my shtf bag and I love it. Of course buds always top knotch.
