I was impressed by this gun from the moment I opened it up at my FFLs. The fit and finish is excellent. Based on a few reviews I had read, I expected a some feeding and ejecting malfunctions during the break-in period. I just today ran 200 rounds through it with not a single problem- and what a pleasure to shoot. There are a few reviews warning about slide bite and issues with the grip safety, but I did not have any issues of that kind. I can't wait to get back out to the range with this 1911.

This is my first online purchase of a firearm and Buds made it a first rate experience. I am a retired Marine Chief Warrant Officer 2 and have vast experience with firearms. The Springfield 1911 .45 caliber is a great value for the quality firearm I received. Though this firearm isn't a Wilson or Kimber, I am very impressed with the craftsmanship for the money. The gun was flawless out of the box and Buds delivery was extremely fast (two days). The gun is tight, well made, and comes with both rosewood and black grips. It also comes with two, seven round magazines, a plastic holster and two magazine pouches. I am left handed so I will be purchasing a Galco left handed holster for it. I applaud Buds for making this a great buying experience and will now purchase all of my future firearms online. Semper Fi Buds!!

This gun is a real work of art. Feels perfect in my hand. Shoots whatever I put in it. Take down is typical of a 1911, so watch out for those idiot scratches. The fit and finish are on parr for a 1911 in this price range. Sure, you can do better, but not for this price. I will buy more Springfield guns. If you're looking for a nice 1911 for a good price, this is a good choice.

It's a 1911, it's Springfield Armory, what else can I say? It arrived on time in fantastic shape (of course), and it's a real pleasure even just to look at. The aesthetics are only surpassed by its handling at the range: it's the first time in my life that I produced the proverbial "jagged hole" in the target. Both hands, one-handed, off-handed, Old Slabsides simply could not miss. Stainless steel means I can carry it in a Midwestern summer without fear of rust, but it does mean a little more lubrication than one expects with modern polymer weapons. I absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for a full-sized 1911!
