Quality product, looks like it left the factory with Smiths usual attention to detail. I have not shot it yet and I may not since I am expecting the 500 Smith at my FFL very soon.

To start Buds was really fast in processing and shipping my order. The 460V is well worth the price tag. The trigger pull is amazing on both the single action and double action. Cylinder locks up nice and tight and it is a solid built weapon. The grip is very comfortable which is to be expected by a Hogue grip. Overall I am very satisfied with the fast shipping and the quality of the firearm. If you are considering buying one stop thinking and do it you won't be sorry you did.

This is a very sweet piece. Well finished and nice in the hand. I ran a box of 45 Long Colt through it with a shoot-brush-swab routine and it was quite accurate. Heavy handgun so not real easy to hold steady. The trigger has a long pull but there is a distinct catch just before the break so you can take out the slack then press for a surprise break at the shot. I have purchased the 45 LC, .454 Casull and .460 S&W mag ammo but have only shot the 45 LC so far. Very little recoil with the LC probably because of the weight of the gun. It comes with two muzzle breaks; one for led and jacketed bullets and one for only jacketed bullets. However, most of the ammo seems to be flat nose led. It also has a safety lock on top of the included cable lock. S&W does it right again.

First of all, Bud's was terrific, as always. Never had anywhere near a bad experience here. As for the revolver, it has proven to be exactly what all the hype says about it, and then some. I expected the versatility of multiple calibers, the quality, the accuracy, the fit and finish, the comfortable grips, etc. What I didn't expect was the ergonomic perfection, nor did I expect what is without question the best double-action and single-action revolver trigger I've ever experienced. What I mean by ergonomic perfection is that this doesn't really feel like a hand cannon, even though it is. I am by no means some kind of huge bodybuilder, and I get a senior citizen discount on my coffees these days, yet shooting .454 Casull and .460 Magnum from this revolver is something I can do one-handed. Wouldn't want to do it all day long, and next time I'll probably wear a glove, but still... The recoil is just a really quick push directly backward, without as much muzzle flip as I expected. I thought the revolver would end up a foot higher than where it started, and pointed straight up in the air. Nowhere near that. Not even close. The grips are a huge part of the manageability. Pretty easy to get right back on target. The trigger is so light and smooth in double-action and in single-action that the round is on target before you can think about it. No need to squeeze hard enough to potentially pull the sights off-target. The fun factor is extremely high with the 460V, too, especially when you hear the amazing boom reverberate up and down the valley a few times, and when you see the ridiculous results of 460 magnum hitting a 4"X4" heavy steel target at 50 yards. Gymnasts only wish they could do those kinds of flips and twists, with that kind of height. To summarize: buy one these things. It will make you smile.

Awesome revolver! I picked one of these up a couple years ago in a store near me and fell in love with it. Recently, I made the decision to order one off of Bud's site. The guy who did the transfer almost didn't want to let go of it! This gun, though heavy as hell, is quite possibly the most comfortable handgun I own, and I own a number. Extremely solid construction. Wicked looks. Comfortable in hand. Time to shoot! Despite it having been January when it arrived, I took this thing out into the snow and put 20 rounds through it. I used Remington .460 s&w double jacketed, bonded hollow points. 260grain (I believe) This gun is surprisingly easy to handle, extremely accurate out of the box and the most fun I've had in a while. Yes, the 460 ammo is expensive, but I don't care! Great purchase! Have not looked back! Thank you, Bud's!
