I\'ve had my TRP for close to a year now and have really enjoyed shooting it. With close to 2k rounds through the gun, it\'s just as tight as it was the day I received it and the slide operates like it\'s on bearings. The gun shoots great, has a great trigger, great sights, and with the added weight of the rail controls recoil wonderfully. I suggest looking into a tool less guide rod as it made disassembly much quicker and easier. They aren\'t cheap but the eliminating time and frustration with losing a disassembly tool is a Godsend. Two minor complaints should be noted. This is an expensive gun, Springfield should have included a guide rod locking tool. You are forced to buy one or make one out of a nail or paperclip which is ridiculous. Second, the checking on the front of the grip is significant. You aren\'t going to lose control of this gun in your hand. I consider this good, but it does wear on your shooting hand during extended shooting sessions.

Awesome gun! This is my first time dealing with Buds and buying a 1911 and I am super impressed with both! The TRP is a nail driver, and Buds shipped my handgun super fast. The only draw back to the gun are the grips (a little too textured), but not a problem at all. I highly recommend the Springfield TRP, and Buds,

I've had this gun now for over 6 months and all I have to say is I love it. Nights sights are awesome. Rail is a plus. Trigger is super crisp and clean. Bull barrel is beast! Probably the best production 1911 you can get in my own opinion.

This is a great piece of steel. Great finish on the coating, tight fit and finish with its components. It is a sexy looking pistol. Guns point of impact was low out of the box but was easily adjusted on the Trijicon night sights. This Springer can shoot also. Free standing I shot a 5 round 1.5" group from 30 feet. This was my first time shooting the gun too, and with wal-mart WWB ammo no less. I have over 300 rounds through it now with out a single hiccup. Do not neglect the Springfield coupon in the back of the case, nothing like half off mags (and you'll want base pads on them because of the beveled mag well).
