Good pistol, picky on ammo. The most reliable ammo for the thunder 22 was CCI Stinger and Remington Golden Bullet 36gr. Shot 500 rounds of the golden bullet and only had three malfunctions. Winchester bulk and federal bulk jammed at every bullet fired.

Stiff hammerlock, and the slide lock is sharp to the thumb. Beautiful workmanship. Only one magazine though. I haven't got to fire the weapon yet.

Great .22 and affordable practice for those who carry the Bersa .380 or anyone who wants a fun shooting pistol. It functions perfectly with CCI Mini-mags (500+ rounds) - don't count on bulk ammo stuff - so it will probably disappoint the more frugal shooters out there. The pistol balances well in the hand, good sights, intuitive operation, easy to field strip, and accurate! Considering Bud's price and relatively affordable cost of CCI ammunition - this is a five star winner.

I bought the Thunder .22 to compliment my Thunder .380. With the .22 I can spend all day at the range practicing without breaking the bank. I cannot say the same for the .380. I use my .380 for CC, but would have no compunction about using my .22. In close quarters. The .22 is a versetile and invaluable caliber.. You can get off 10 rounds in the time it takes to get off 2 "big bore" rounds. If you miss, which is more likeley with big bore rounds, you are in a world of hurt. Getting out 10 .22 rounds in under 5 seconds gives you a distinct advantgage. The Israli Mossad uses the .22 for their sky marshalls. The .380 is the perfect self defense round for me. If you cannot incapacitate a perp with 7 rounds you have a problem. I looked at the 9mm but the cartridge is oversized for the gun. I have 2 Ruger P89s 9mms that I use as my car carry weapons. The P89 is appropriately sized for the caliber. I am 5 ' 10 and 185 and find the ultra compact 9mm to be too snappy and miss much more frequently than with a .380. Larger bore guns are more appropriate for the military and law enforcement where you are usually shooting at a distant and moving target.

Very cool little gun. Haven't fire any yet... seems a little tight. Feel solid in hand ... For the price, it is quite good.

GREAT GUN! I bought this because it is similar in size to my Bersa .380 and makes target practice much cheaper. I read many reviews for .22 pistols before buying and this gun had the highest ratings. The big concerns seemed to be misfeeds and misfires. I have run several hundred rounds through the gun without a single problem. I have tried different types of ammo and they have all worked fine. I would definitely recommend this gun for anyone wanting a .22 pistol.
