It's ugly and it's heavy. Still, I like this revolver. I don't plan on entering it in any beauty contests, so the ugly part doesn't matter. And the fact that it IS heavy helps absorb a lot of the recoil from the .357 round. The trigger breaks clean and the front ramp site is much improved after putting 3 coats of Testors orange flourescent enamel paint on it. I've put 50 rds of .38 P through it and there is barely any recoil. The large steel frame and the nice rubber grip absorb it. You do get some recoil with .357s but I'd say less than my S&W Model 65 357 which is a larger gun. My best effort was in the center mass of a silhouette, a 2-1/2" group from about 20 feet, single action. I figured not too bad for 68 yr old eyes. Bottom line? I like it, it seems well-made, and it's worth the price. A bit too heavy for carry (my usual carry is a lightweight S&W 642) but it will do duty as a travel gun and ride along in the glove box and I'll feel a bit more secure knowing it there. Bud's service was great and the transfer agent, Kitchen's Guns of Ashland, KY was exceptional, as always.

It’s no S&W, but it performs just as well, not to mention 1/3 the price! The fit and finish are very nice. Lock-up is very tight. The double action on mine was extremely light right out of the box; I was really surprised based on what I had read about others. Overall an excellent little revolver for the price!

EAA WINDCTR 357 2" NKL 6 shot. The price and shipping from BUD's was good. After receiving transfer from dealer (I had checked it out somewhat inside the store) I took revolver out to my car and decided to check out further. After opening the cylinder and looking down the barrell I noticed on the front of the cylinder (next to barrell) a dark discloring that appeared to be powder residue. I tried wiping it off but to no avail. I was in question as to what to do because I definitely did not want to have purchased a used gun at new prices. I decided to take the revolver out to fire it and fired 6 rounds .38 and 6 round .357. I had no problem in functionality and accuracy. I like the gun very much but definitely should have taken BUD's advice and thoroughly inspected the revolver at the dealer before the transfer. I am giving this a 4 rating due to the discoloring on the front of the cylinder.

Buds gave me a very positive buying experience. I have purchased many guns from them. The gun was an impulse buy because it was an inexpensive .357. Heck, I only gave $303 for it! I didnt know what to expect. WOW is all I can say. This gun is a tank! Solidly built and goes bang every time. It is a little heavy, not the whispery models you can order at double the cost but let me tell you, it is deadly accurate. The .38 recoil is very manageable. No problem at alll. Like I expected, the .357 was more challenging. Snapped pretty good. Not a problem in a life-threatening situation but I wouldnt want to put 50 rounds of .357 through it at one session. LOL! Overall a great gun and super buy. You need to check it out. This gun is the best kept .357 secret out there.

When i first got this gun it was great. Lockup was solid and it handled 357's great. 100 round of 357 and 200 or 38spl later the lockup has a little bit of give in it but is still acceptable. For $300 I'm not complaining. As was previously mentioned, the barrel was very sharp and unfinished. Some other reviews complained about the trigger grooves hurting their fingers. I haven't had any problems with it at all.

lets just start with its a heavy snubnose,,its front heavy but because of that it handles hot loads very well. comfortable grips and small package,,,i do have a couple of complaints but they are in the cosmetics. i have the same windicator in blue,,have owned it for 12 years,,must have been made by some one else because the barrel is crowned.the barrel on my new nkl looks as if it was cut with a band saw and very sharp edges no crown ,,,also the hole in the trigger guard for the little lock is a futile effort at best ,,thats a why bother, one last thing,,all the screws and pins are blue,,charge 10 bucks more and make the hardware stainless,,,BUT,,with all that ,,it is a decent pistol at a great price,,if this lasts as long as my blue one ill be very happy,,and if the weight bothers you,,either tighten your belt or leave it in the nightstand,,happy shooting
