This is a really nice gun, and I wanted to let everyone know it does come with a rail and plastic grips. and a very nice case with combo locks Pros and cons Pros Really good on the price This gun shoots so smoth. it is very accurate. I have a CZ and I like the feel of this better but the CZ does have a better trigger pull It feels like a tank and soaks up recoil very well, It feels like it was build for robo-cop. Fit and finish is flawless other then my AR-15 this is my new favorite to shoot and I found Mags available that will hold 23 rounds reloadable. I live way out no one else for miles so shooting is my thing and 23 rounds means less reloading. conversion kits allow you to switch from one caliber to another. You can buy ambidextrous parts off the EAA site Cons sight picture kinda sucks. theres no dots there just flat black No decocker! The hammer does not have a half cock ! (0)(o) if you drop it with one in the chamber you could catch a hot one It only comes with one clip. engraving is really light SN will not last the life of the gun I'm sure of it. Nothing in the books tell you anything about how to lube the gun or where the lube holes are. It's only right handed. _-- I'm a lefty!

Recently purchased the EAA Witness Match 40S&W in bitone. I've put about 200 rounds through it so far. The gun is fantastic. The all steel construction greatly dampens recoil and lets you get back on target quickly and easily. I would definitely recommend the gun. However, definite problem with the magazines. In addition to the one 15 round mag that came with the gun, I also ordered three additional 15 round mags. Of the four mags, only two of them will "lock in." The other two will go into the magwell, but they don't lock in. They just drop out. I've tried everything just short of beating them in with a hammer to get them to lock in, but they just won't. Obviously a very poor magazine design when 2 of 4 mags won't work. I've sent an email to EAA Corp to see what remedy is available for the non working mags. So I rate the gun very high, the mags very low (only a 50% success rate based on my experience).

Best gun I own so far. My personal opinion is that It's better than my Browning Hi Power 9mm, Beretta 92F 9mm and Springfield Armory 1911-A1 45ACP. The Match has a short trigger pull which is very accurate. The slide has no play what so ever. Shot the first 150 shots with no failers. Group shots are unbelievable, better than with my other pistols. It looks awesome, sexy, great material and finish. SURPASSED EXPECTATIONS

The Witness Elite Match has a wonderful feel to it. After adjusting the trigger pre-travel and post-travel screws, the trigger pull is very short, smooth and light. It aims very naturally and it doesn't look bad either.

I own both the 40S&W and 45ACP Witness Match pistols. They are super shooters, very accurate, and low recoil for their caliber. They DO NOT have polygonal barrels - they are rifled barrels. I talked to the EAA owner here in Florida on this point (it is advertised in their catalog as polygonal but IS NOT) and he was very rude and pointed out that "specifications are subject to change without notice" and was not concerned that the catalog is wrong. I purchased this primarily due to the polygonal barrel specifications as I have several MR Baby Eagle pistols (now Jericho imported by Charles Daly) which DO have polygonal barrels. They are very accurate and easy to clean the barrel due to the polygonal barrel. All that said, the EAA Witness Match pistols are very accurate and one of the best buys on the market. They are less expensive than CZ or Jericho pistols, are based on the same design, and are hand fit by the Tanfoglio manufacturer. I will be buying the 9mm pistol when it again becomes available.
