I ordered the Tracker 44 magnum from Lexington store and had it shipped to sister store in Greenville because it was only about 30 miles from me. Only took 2 business days to receive. I wanted a 44 mag to carry in the woods. Most 44 mags are really heavy and bulky. The Tracker is a medium framed revolver and only weighs 2 pounds. In reality it's a compact 44. The porting and expansion chamber really control the recoil. The recoil is a lot less noticeable than other more expensive brands I've shot. This gun is very accurate and fun to shoot. I highly recommend this firearm and great prices and service you get from Bud's.

I wanted a lightweight 44 for occasional carry and field use, and this tracker was perfect. 240 gr loads print 2" groups at 25 yds off the bench. Recoil is sharp but quite manageable.

Really surprised by how well the gun shoots. It is a lot easier to handle than I figured it would be. My 12-year-old Son fell in love with it and shot a whole box of shells within a couple of hours. The only issue I found with it is the shells kept getting hung up in the cylinder when we tried to dump them. You have to really push on the ejector rod to get them to come out. Maybe it will work in after its shot for a while.

This gun is a great entry level high caliber pistol. I love the price point, but do not expect the same quality as a Ruger Super RedHawk, Smith & Wesson, or Colt. Desert Eagles are a novelty and less than reliable, but make a great art piece. Taurus makes a great gun at a great price, and if you are going to learn how to shoot a double action, high caliber pistol I highly recommend this one.

I like the revolver. It shoots very well. It's the first 44 mag I've owned. I do have a small problem the spent cartridges don't come out easily. I was told it was the ammo. I was using 240 grain Winchesters. I bought some Remington and they came out a little better but they won't just come out by using the ejector rod.

Product was top-notch quality and shipping is always fast and convenient. Not my first purchase and I’m sure not my last. Buds prices are always the Best.

Very nice pistol. Felt lighter than I expected for a pistol of this caliber. Buds is the place to get the wheel gun you want. I was having trouble finding any wheel guns in shops around here.

Took some time for me to get it sighted in. I like that it’s light weight and carry’s nice in bear country. It’s not a Colt by any means but it’s still a budget friendly reliable pistol that gets the job done.

Great experience so far with the firearm. No issues to report. Pretty accurate too.

Had this 44 mag for a few years now. Gun shot well, but was shaving lead. I had it sent back to Taurus to be realigned and once the gun was returned it shot perfect. Only reason for 3 Stars is the inconvenience of having to send it off and wait.

Nice gun! It’s a 5-shooter instead of the traditional 6 of most 44 Mags. That’s exactly what I was looking for because it’s a compact revolver for its chambering. I carry it as a back up while hunting.
Also, the grips that were advertised aren’t the ones that came with the gun. Which is good because those grip were not highly rated. The ones that came with this one were very nice. Comparable to aftermarket rubber grips.
Very pleased!

Nice looking weapon. Sturdy, sleek look, and largest handgun that I own. Haven’t shot it yet but it’s loaded with hollow points and ready to test out!

Nice fit and finish. As accurate as the shooter firing it. Perfect for purpose it was intended for. Great pack/carry revolver, light and lively. Reliable. Beware, heavier recoil than hunting guns like the Ruger Super Redhawk but still controllable and fun to shoot.

This is a no frills 44 mag with enough features to be taken seriously .
The 5 shot format and short barrel results in a fairly compact weapon for this caliber however it's only about 2 pounds so the recoil with 44 mag is very noticeable even with gloves and a relatively soft rubber grip.
The trigger is a little gritty and the cylinder release needs a box or two to smooth out though both are usable right out of the gate. I've only fired 15 rounds so far [10 of 44 spl and 5 of 44 mag].
The rear sight is adjustable in both directions but it seemed right on. The front sight is a pinned blade with red tape as an insert. The tape is easily removed to be replaced with red paint.
The pistol is advertised as a ported 4 inch barrel but the last inch it just a shroud with holes in it so the effective length is 3".
Considering that a top of the line similar 44 mag is about an additional $300, I believe this is a decent option for someone who's only going to fire it in dire emergencies as is my intention.

I was super exited about this gun. Unfortunately, my balloon burst quickly. I guess there isn’t any Quality Control testing in the Taurus factory. The chamber of my cylinder was very off. Of the three first rounds fired, two split. All three were bulged about a quarter up from the rim. Not sure what was happening at the factory at 4:58 on a Friday, but it wasn’t QC on my pistol. Hopefully my pistol will arrive sooner than the 12 WEEKS they told me it would take to return it... .

A little rough to shoot, not too fond of the grip, but that's just personal preference. It performs quite well, and quite accurate at short range.

Sah-weet !
This is a .44 Magnum. No matter what brand you buy, it is not a caliber you are going to enjoy shooting at the range. It is a working gun for hiking in bear country or whatever your need.
Not a plinker ! However, this is a quality firearm and I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a 44.
Taurus has improved alot the past few years and anyone who scoffs at the brand is misinformed. Buds certainly makes it easy !
The Taurus grips that come with it are very comfortable but I bought Hogue Grips to fit and, though the Hogues look cooler, the stock Taurus grips are way more comfortable shooting.
P.S.- For those new shooter who don't know, use .44 Special for target practice and fire 2 or 3 of your.44 Magnum carry loads for practice. Your wrist will thank you !
Can't beat Buds.

Very light handgun for a big bore, but still pretty manageable. The stock grips were fine, but I decided to try Hogue grips and that made it feel even better. Trigger pull surprisingly good both in single and double action. Rear adjustable sight is good, front blade easy to pick up with the orange blade. Fit and finish very well done, and it's easy to clean and maintain. All in all, Taurus did a good job on this revolver and I wouldn't hesitate recommending it. Buds Guns did a great job getting the revolver shipped, and it arrived in great shape.

I ordered the gun from Buds on Sunday and it was here for pickup on Tuesday. Incredible speed and service! Buds is my #1 go-to for any online firearm purchases! Other websites I’ve ordered from take close to a week just to ship out.

This gun gave me far more than I bargained for! It is accurate and gobbled up some warm 300 gr XTP hand loads with no problem. If you are looking for a primary or back up gun for deer season this will fit the bill nicely. The ribber grips soak up recoil pretty well, but the gun is really LOUD so wear your ears! These are a phenomenal bargain at their asking price. I have purchased 20 or more guns from Bud's and each transaction has been excellent!
