My first semi-auto handgun. Used it to obtain my concealed carry license. Fired every time with no FTF’s or FTE’s. Good accuracy. Since then, I have acqured two more Taurus semi-auto handguns. Great value. Why pay more?

Buds was great and always is, no issue with them and a repeat customer...The gun out of the box was jamming, failure to feed and eject. Used multiple types of ammo and had same issue. Ran the same ammo through other guns with zero issues. It would jam 3 or 4 times per clip, even after the "break in" period of about 400 rounds. Called Taurus and shipped the gun back, no issues on 12/17 and have been good so far to work with. They at first stated they could not duplicate the issue then after some conversation with them they stated they would try again and did duplicate it. That was on 1/8/16. Called today and it is still with the gunsmith so my frustration is beginning to build. I own two other Taurus' (as well other brands) and they had no issues but this one is still a concern. My hope is that it is fixed soon but wanted to pass this along to others as a red flag. The shots that I did fire were on target and it was smooth, just not comfortable as a carry at this point.

BUYER BEWARE buds is a great online firearms supplier but the Taurus i received was broken right out of the box.The handguns single action was inoperable from the start, didn't know it till i got home loaded & racked a round..To my surprise it remained in double action..i never fired the gun.. took the clip out tried a number of ways to get single action to operate & found out the i had to depress the trigger with a empty chamber and clip while racking the slide to get it to remain in single action..i contacted Taurus & they said there was a problem & it was not supposed to operate that way. They were kind & had no problem shipping and fixing the firearm at no cost to me..but what little faith i had in Taurus is now non existent...thinking about going for a glock now...at least they work right out of the box no problems lol.

Out of all my hand guns this is by far my favorite compact gun. I was a little worried about buying this gun to use as a conceal because a lot of people were telling me that Taurus has a bad rep and I should go with a S&W or another high end big name gun for personal protection but I decided to get this one because you couldn't beat the money and the fact that it hold 17rounds in the clip for a compact gun is pretty much what sold me. Since then I have put close to 400rounds through this gun and haven't had a single miss fire or smoke stack or anything go wrong. And the main reason i'm writing this review is because yesterday I was shooting with some friends and my buddy just bought a Smith&Wesson 9mm Shield and about every 30 rounds his would some how malfunction. And he paid double what I did for my gun and his only held 8 rounds compared to my 13 or 17. So don't listen to the people that tell you these are unreliable guns. If I'm ever in a situation that I need to use my gun I trust this one to be on my side.

I'm very disappointed in this firearm. Don't get me wrong, the appearance and feel are great. However, I read all of the previous warnings of thing going wrong with these pistols but I figured I'd still give it a try. Lifetime warranty right? Well, if you don't feel like carrying your pistol for 4 to 6 weeks, AAAAND for several times throughout the year, then I guess maybe you should buy this pistol. I've had nothing but problems since I purchased this cool looking paperweight. Too bad I can't bring it too the office. Anyhow, the decokcer was broken on it before I even fired it. I sent it back before even shooting it. 6 weeks later, I took it to the range and couldn't hit paper at 10 yards. I've never purchased a firearm that wasn't at least somewhat accurate out of the box. I took a look at the rear sight and it was extremely loose. So they obviously aren't committed to quality work there in brazil. Currently, I'm waiting 4 to 6 weeks for them to fix the decocker AGAIN, and the slide stop which is malfun. Also, my disassembly latch is malfunctioning so I can't even take it apart. If you're a gunsmith, by all means purchase this gun as a project firearm, but please DON'T CARRY this ANYWHERE. Even if all of my problems were fixed I would have ZERO confidence in this "weapon" if my life depended on it. I learned my lesson.

okay so here's the scoop on this gun. its a great little shooter with loads of features. i immediately fell in love with this pistol from the moment i laid eyes on it. aesthetics on this gun are impressive and pleasing to the eye. of course when choosing a carry pistol this should be the least of your concerns but its always a plus when your gun is as great looking as it is dependable. now the gun came with a nice box and some goodies such as a cleaning rod, locking key, sight adjustment tool, and two magazines which is always a big plus. it features a 13 round magazine making it nice and compact for concealed carry. also comes with a 17 round mag for some extra firepower should you need it. if you are like me you prefer things to fit together nice and tight with as little to no play as possible and unfortunately these magazines are not tight fitting. they are very loose. i was disappointed at first but i found a way to fix this. in the cosmetics section at walmart they sell these tiny little black rubber bands for hair braiding. just wrap about 7-10 of these around the base of the magazine and it will tighten the fit right up without impeding their funcionality. simple as that. the sights are adjustable which i guess is nice but they are three dot sights and not the two dot pro heine sights as advertised. also the rear sight was loose from the factory. at first i was alarmed but i simply used the tool provided to tighten them up no problem and fortunately enough i got them combat accurate without even really trying. now the gun comes wrapped up in a plastic bag with about a quart of grease so you're going to have to do a really thorough job cleaning her up before you decide to start breaking her in. i did a half assed job of cleaning out all the grease and she still performed well however out of 30 rounds fired she failed to go into battery 3 times. not to worry there's just so much damn grease its silly. i just took her apart again and really got in there with a tooth pick and rag. she's a DA/SA with double strike capability in case of a hard primer not going off, smooth trigger pull as well. hope this helps;^)

First time gun owner. Put my first 100 rounds thru this weekend and it operated perfectly. I took many reviewers advice and spent the time to clean the gun thoroughly before firing. I was privileged to fire the 24/7 along with a S& W 3.5 inch, they felt and performed the same. The 24/7 impressed my shooting partner who owns many guns. Sights perfect, no adjustment needed. The only thing I noticed is the 17 round mag is a little sloppy and the mag release button stiff.

I bought this from Bud's a few weeks ago, and although the shipping process felt a little slow, it WAS exactly the time frame Bud's described. I got my 24/7 and have fed over a hundred rounds through with absolutely no problem not due to the operator (I can limp wrist an XDM into a stove pipe). Mag release IS stiff, but I can already feel it loosening up. Shot groups were fine, but I am no expert marksman. Fantastic pistol for the price, and Taurus is a fantastic company. Very happy with my purchase.

I bought this for my wife. After I picked it up from my ffl I took it home and field stripped it for cleaning. The gun breaks down easy and is simple to clean. The only complaint I have is the extremely long trigger pull. Although my wife likes it and she is very accurate with it which is what matters. We have put over 200 rounds through it without an issue. No Failure to feed, fire,or eject. Also put about 20 rounds of HP's through with no problems. It came with a 13 round mag that fits the gun and a 17 round with an extended grip which is nice for when I do use it. The only other thing wrong is the mag release is a little stiff at first but after breaking it in it loosened up. Overall the quality and accuracy are great and my wife loves it so its a WINNER.

Nice features. But the sights are way off. Put a boresight in it and the sights are off by 10 inches in 3 yards. and that's adjusting them as far as they will go. Its almost as if the front sight is the wrong size (too short). Good thing is the lifetime warranty. I have used the Taurus warranty twice before and they have the weapon back to be in two weeks or less. Buds is always great to do business with.

Update to my previous review. Taurus repaired my G2C, said the pistol had faulty sights and when I took the G2C to the range it was very accurate after the repair. The $62 in shipping charges were refunded to me with 3 17round extended magzines as I requested. Taurus stood behind their product and repaired the pistol to my satisfaction. I would recommend Taurus as a well preforming pistol that they will stnd behind.

Purchased this pistol from Bud's on 9/14/11 as usual there were no problems on Bud's or the FFL end. I cleaned the G2 and went to the range where I used a pistol rest on the bench from a sitting position to fire. The pistol's action worked well with no feed or firing problems but at 7 yards the pistol shot 18 to 20 inches low and10 to 12 inches to the left of te bull's eye and the grouping was loose. No amout of rear sight ajustment would correct the problem. On 10/27/11I wrote Taurus explaining the problem. On 10/31/11 I was contacted by customer service and I again explained the problem and was told Fed Ex would email me a prepaid shipping label. After 3 business days I had not recieved the shipping (still haven't) so I shipped the pistol back to Taurus at my own expense ($62). Taurus recieved the pistol on 11/02/11 and was signed for by a Taurus employee. Taurus has yet to acknowledge reciept of the pistol or contct me again.
