Pleasantly surprised. Nice piece of walnut. Good wood to metal fit. Smooth, light trigger pull. Rifle feels lighter than 9+ pounds. Could be a keeper.

I ordered this gun around 2 am Wednesday morning. By noon I had a tracking number. Picked it up from my local dealer around noon Thursday. I must say, less than 36 hours from placing the order to having it in hand was very impressive.

The Springfield MA9102 M1A STD 308 WAL BL was as advertised and is an absolutely beautiful firearm. I would like to thanks buds for the great pricing and Springfield Armory for this weapon. Owning a piece of history and being able to use it for sport, recreation, and being able pass on to family a member later on in life is what owning a true American firearm is all about. Thanks!!

My dealer received the rifle damaged. It had a small chip in the toe of the butt stock. I accepted it anyways, I didn't want the hassle of returning it and I should of at least contacted Bud's. I sanded down the rough edges and oiled it. It doesn't look too bad but you can tell that it had a small piece of the stock missing near the butt plate. This defect was either missed at Springfield or at Bud's or both! I ordered and purchased it on the 30th of Dec and my dealer received it on Jan 9th. Other than the chip in the stock it is a fine firearm.
