1 I am hard to please. 2 I don't write a lot of reviews. 3 great gun. I purchased online on a Sunday. Buds took my money on Monday held for 5 days as promised. Processed on Friday. Shipped on Monday following, was at my FFL that Wednesday. In my hands Thursday. Total time a week in a half. Sot 300 rounds of remanufactured .223 through it right out the box. Never jammed had 15 other people with their AR 15s with me matched great up against them. 75% agreed that they liked the weight of mine and if you added a rail or a bigger scope would be amazing.

What a great gun. Much more than I ever imagined. It's incredibly light and shoots like a champ. The scope was easy to attach and very easy to sight in. I highly recommend this rifle to everyone that wants an AR. You won't find a better one for the money.

Neither Bushmaster, nor Bud's, advertise this as a "carbon fiber" AR but several reviewers call it such. It is a carbon COMPOSITE, not carbon fiber. If it were truly a carbon fiber, it would cost significantly more, almost even unaffordable. This is a good entry-level weapon for those new to the game. The trigger pull is pretty stout, but the firearm is exactly as advertised. I have modified the weapon to be exactly what I needed, adding a bit to the overall cost, but as it stands, this was a good deal.

Just got my rifle today, 7 days after purchase. This is my first weapon ever, but I am no stranger to the AR-15 platform since I spent 6 years in Marine Corps. I love this rifle, it feels really light in the hand, yet sturdy to the point where you know it won't break. I've put about 50 rounds through it so far and not one malfunction yet. The red dot sight that it comes with isn't the greatest but it gets the job done. I recommend investing in a nice set of iron sights though. Buds service was great and shipping time was ok. I'd recommend buds.

Just bought the gun, took it to the range and within 3 rounds it malfunctioned. After another two rounds it completely stopped cycling rounds. Had the armorer come out and take a look at it and the gas feed tube and bolt carrier were misaligned, damaging both enough to stop working. Now have to go through the hassle of sending it to Bushmaster. So far, not impressed.

This is a great product. I did a lot of research across the web before making this purchase. I heard a lot of bashing but it was always from people who had never shot a round from one. All the reviews I read from people that owned one (the newer version with the forward assist and dust cover) loves the machine. Its light, easy to fire, and holds together well through ruff handling. If you are new to AR's and want to save a few bucks, try this rifle. Its worth it!
