Six months after receiving my PT-92AF I've been extremely happy with its performance. I've always been a fan of the Beretta 92FS/M9 series pistol, but could never get over that dreaded slide mounted safety. Needless to say, this is where the Taurus PT-92 excels! With a frame mounted safety/decocker positioned similar to a 1911, there's no accidental bumping to engage or disengage the safety. So far the gun has been entirely reliable with no failures to feed, fire, or eject. I would trust this pistol if my life were to depend on it. That being said, the gun has a single weakness... the factory magazines... the followers have a slight tendency to nose-dive and bind while unloading. I have yet to have it happen under firing conditions, but as soon as I experienced it while unloading the magazines by hand, I opted for aftermarket magazines. I purchased several Mec-Gar magazines for use in my PT-92 and they have been extremely reliable!

The quality of this pistol is everything that was described in the Bud's write-up. It comes with two 17 round magazines; has rubber grips and a matte black finish. The accessory rail under the barrel is a useful feature. I am very please with this purchase.

As always Buds was great and shipping was fast. Now on to the product. This pt92 is great, it shoots fast and is very accurate out of the box. I did have to clean the shipping gunk off of it but that is to be expected with new guns. Very good product for the money.

First off buds did a great job with shipping speed as expected. The pistol came in good condition with taurus caking on the grease as expected from many other customers experience. As far as the weapon, exactly what i was expecting as far as quality, fit, and finish. It's a big gun but i knew what i was looking for in a range/home defense beast. I must say the balance of such a huge piece is great and the feel in hand is a plus. Virtually no recoil. Accuracy is on point. The grips i will be replacing but i wouldn't even consider that a negative. For the price, i can afford the minor upgrade. Overall i would say good pistol for a great price

Shipping took much longer than normal for Buds, but I also ordered at a very busy time so this was not unexpected. Now for a review of the gun. Fit and finish were pretty good. I have no complaints there. Trigger pull was surprisingly good. It stacks a little in DA, but not too bad at all. Recoil... must occur elsewhere because it barely shows up with this one! Fixed sites are pretty much dead on with all brands of ammo, but I generally only shoot at short (_ 10 m) distances. There are two things I would change (actually, I have already ordered everything to make the changes). I do not like the factory grips. Although certainly functional, they are 'harsh' and just seem cheap. New grips from Hogue are on the way. The mags also seem a little on the cheap side. The followers tilt too easily for my liking. Still, they have been absolutely reliable so far (over 200 rounds of all types and bullet weights all brass case). However, I like Mec-gar better, and they are on the way. Given the low round count to date, I can't speak to durability or long-term reliability, but so far I am well pleased and would recommend the Taurus pt92 to friends.
