I got two of the 845s the first 1 put 3 3chips great. The 2ed one not so great wouldn't stay open after the last round wad fired. Could get the slid to releas when opened. Called taurus after atleased an hour on holed. They sent FedX out next day to pick it up. Hope to get it back soon! But damn nice 45. Light weight. Very nice!

Bud's service was GREAT! Ordered on Wednesday and had my gun in hand by noon on Monday. This Taurus .45 is a real deal. Comes with a nice case, 2 mags., nifty mag loader and cleaning brush. Finally warmed up enough to go out and shoot yesterday. Gun performed great. Much less recoil than I was expecting. Several have complained about the difficult release button on the magazine. No problem on mine from either side. Also, I thought the mags loaded quite easily. If you want a great hand cannon for a reasonable price, the 845 is for you.

Nice gun. It shoots very well. I like how high the sights are, it lends to quick pointing. Mine came with an ULTRA hard magazine release. I can't drop the magazine with my grip hand it's so hard. The strange part is it's only that hard when the magazine is inserted and feels fine without. I'm guessing the cuts in the magazines are a little too high or low. I love that this gun can be carried in any configuration you want. I can carry it cocked and locked like a 1911 or hammer down safety on or off. The de-cocker is a nice feature too. The backstraps are nice (it comes with 3) and I enjoyed fitting one to my hand specifically. Mine also came with a spare magazine, bore brush, and magazine loader. The 12th round is hard to get in, but I never needed to use the loader. The grip is loooong. I wear a large glove and it's long enough that I have about 1/4" before my pinky would reach the magazine extension. The extension is really unnecessary and it makes it impossible to conceal carry under a shirt, this would require a coat. If the magazine release worked better, I'd probably keep this gun. I've also recently developed a taste for more expensive, high quality guns. I should mention this gun out shot and wore less internally than my Sig p250 in .45. Now I didn't put it in a ransom rest so it's a somewhat unfair comparison of accuracy due to the double action only Sig. But the internal wear on the Sig's barrel and slide surprised me, especially when both guns had an equal round count of the same ammo and the Taurus still looked new. If you plan to ever try carrying it, make sure the magazine release works well and it would do fine.

LEFTYS NEED TO READ! Taurus has hit a home run with this series. Bought the 9mm first, liked it so well I purchased the 45! Comfortable in the hand with grip selections. Shoots great no difficulties and accurate. Just a great pistol!!!!
