A light recoiling .45. I only held onto mine for about a total of 8 months. It had 200 rounds of 230gr Winchester White Box FMJ's go through it with countless amount of errors including stovepipes FTE's and FTF's. Fired another 100 rounds this time of Remington UMC 230gr FMJ and still had multiple errors (minimum 2-3 per loaded MAGAZINE). Since it was never meant to be an EDC I tried keeping it around as a range / emergency clear drill gun. Unfortunately however it ended up losing the firing pin (shot straight out of the back of the gun and hit my buddy in the chest while being fired!!!) I sent this into taurus after sitting on it, firing pin missing in action and all and told them what the problem was. Taurus paid for FedEx overnight shipping both ways, and the repair only took a whole day. 72 hours after it left my house it came back at my doorstep freshly repaired. Unfortunately I was far too uncomfortable to EVER trust this gun again and it immediately got traded toward a Glock 23 gen3. +5 for Taurus Customer Service -5 for Taurus Quality Control +3 for BUDS and BUDS alone!

Finally was able to run a few magazines through and this gun shoots really well. No failures of any sort and no complaints. Even easy to handle with one hand and surprisingly light for a 12 rd .45. I am amazed at how well it performed for the money. Would not hesitate to purchase another if I did not already have one.

Gun is decent. Very comfortable in the hand, natural pointer. Had lots of FTF and lots of jams usually after 25 rounds of every range visit. Before sending it in for warranty I decided to run 700 rounds by it to make sure it was completely broken in. Don't believe the hype about their customer service. They were great. They covered shipping both ways and gave me a 2 week turnaround. Good gun, Good customer service, Buds is awesome. No complains.

Okay, have fired about a thousand rounds now in this baby, mostly cheapo UMC; have to say, it's a shooter. Yes, i've had one or two FTE, causing a stovepipe jam. It clears easily, and i have no qualms about this being my main carry gun. It loves the Golden Saber JHP 230gr pills, never an issue with one of those. The fit and finish are excellent. The adjustable palm swell means the stock will almost guarantee a perfect fit for you. The grip is surprisingly narrow, considering this is a double-stack mag loaded with big fat .45 ACP. Line one up some time, next to a measly 9mm Luger. Yep, i'll take my .45s. Recoil is a little heavy, due to the light weight of the polymer frame. However, that's what makes it a great carry gun. Accuracy is awesome, gun's accuracy is much better than i can shoot. My buddy shot it, he's the kind to cut the X-ring out of a target at 10 yards, and i've seen him do the Mel Gibson smiley face thing; anyhow he shot a group of 10 at my 7 yard target that you could cover with a .50 piece. Tell the truth - the only real problem is that the front of the slide gets pretty grimy after shooting 200 rounds in a day. Oh, you do have to figure out how to release and clean the firing pin/spring, because it comes dirty in a new gun from the factory test-firing, and gets REALLY dirty in an extended range session.
