Buds is great! Gun is ok. Servers its purpose for a self defense gun. Not a show piece. Trigger is VERY heavy!!

First time buying any type of gun and first time ever shooting a handgun. So I have to say will definately buy from buds again and as for the sw9ve, (I have nothing to compare it to) it is super reliable, shot 300 rounds of remington fmj first day with no problems. Love this gun

This is an excellent home defense weapon. The simple design, reliable operation, and spot on accuracy of this 9mm is comparable to both a Glock 9mm and a Springfield XD 9mm. I've owned them all and of the three I actually prefer the Sigma. Beside the obvious advantage of being half the price, my SW9VE actually has fewer stovepipes and double-feeds when firing rapidly. (emptying an entire mag as fast as possible, or 'machine-gunning") It also has a more natural grip angle so that all you really have to do is raise the gun as though you were pointing at the target with your index finger, and pull the trigger. I was getting 1" groupings at 15 yards the first time I took it to the range. With the Glock you're paying for a name, otherwise the guns might as well be identical, and I'm sorry but no amount of branding is worth $300 and with the XD you're paying for a bunch of gizmos (thumb safety, touch chamber indicator (what is this for anyway, so blind people can tell if a round is chambered? Should the blind be shooting guns??? Anyway...) and accessories like the holster, speed loader, and mag pouch. These are nice, but could be purchased separately for like $60 total, and yet the gun costs $300 more than the Sigma. All in all, if you're looking for a good 9mm, look no further. This gun is half the price of other similar quality 9mm's, and has the proven reliability and warranty protection of a Smith & Wesson. As for Bud's service. As always, it was excellent. The gun arrived three days earlier than they promised, picked it up at my FFL... easy, peasy.

First purchase with buds and it went great. aside from the heavy trigger pull (which i feel actually breaking in), the gun is great. feels like a mid size polymer auto pistol, just with a much better grip. So far two hundred rounds with one malfunction which was most likely caused by a soft grip. The trigger pull is most like a double action revolver, but once you get used to that its good to go. I live in florida by the coast, so I rotate carrying this with a small .380. SO, rest assured this is a pistol that you'll be able to carry.

I'm reviewing this pistol for my wife since she is a beginner shooter. She loves the pistol now but was a little hesitant the first time at the range. It does have a heavy pull but quickly overcame it with a couple of trips. She is a 5th degree blackbelt, so she has some stronger hands than most women. First time at range she kept getting feeding issues after the first round. Told her she's limp wristing it and needs to have more grip and muscle control on the recoil. That cleared it up pretty quick! Third time out she was punching 2 inch holes out of the target!!! This pistol is amazingly accurate even for a woman and heavy trigger. She loves it now and wants to go shooting every weekend.
