Great "entry level" 1911 at a sub $1,000 price... Ordered one of these after waiting months on a Kimber that just never seemed to be available...not disappointed at all!!! First impression is wow, excellent fit and finish and it is truly lighter than a comparable 5" Kimber or Springer. First 100 rounds of WWB 230gr FMJ went through her flawlessly, except for a single FTF on the 1st round from one of the 8 round mags included. Once the mag got loosened up the issue never reappeared, Was a bit leary of the external extractor but so far so good, time will tell. Scandium frame ddoes make a weight difference...will keep an eye out for stress fatigue. All in all a great version of an American classic from an American legend. Purist may not like the alloys and extractor, and I would not recommend this frame for a .460 Rowland conversion but I gotta say this ones a keeper.
