This is a BUY NOW. I have 2 Kimbers, and 2 Springfield mil-specs. Not quite a Kimber but it beats the SA mil-specs in every way but the NAME. Quality and yet for the price not an entry level 1911-has it all. That said, the finish on the blue is great but be prepared to spend a few hours and a bottle of Hoppes to clean the SOB-it came packed for the next millennium.

Excellent pistol. I received this 1911 as a Christmas present from my wife (yeah, I know I'm a lucky guy). This is one fine shooting pistol. Exceptional quality. This gun has impressed many that have fired it as well. Many at the range find this handgun to be at the top of it's class. Lately I have also shot many other 1911's and can not say they are any better then this Taurus but can certainly tell you they cost much more. Some over 150% more. If in the market for a full size 1911 in a 45acp you owe it to yourself to check this one out first. You will be pleasantly surprised.

Best 1911 for the money. 100% reliable. Super accurate with lots of features seen in guns costing over $1,000.

by Kameron M Tuesday 15 July, 2008 people made this one of the easiest purchases I have made of a pistol. Everybody who has looked at it is impressed. They were more impressed when I took 3rd in a pistol match recently, as this is my 1st 1911-style pistol and I am not used to them. The action is tight in lockup, the ramp is mirror polished, the safety works smooth sure. Feeding any type of cartridge has not been a problem. The Heine sights are easy to use. This is one fine gun, no if's and's or butt's. And then there is Bud's price! Holy Cow! How does Taurus and Bud's do it!

I wavered a bit as I was unsure of Taurus quality but after reading reviews I stepped up. I stripped it as soon as it arrived and discovered a couple extra parts not in my Colt 1911. The trigger lock does not affect fuction. I dislike the Heinie 1 dot sights, the pistol "bluing" is a dull black, plastic grips, and the trigger pull is good but not crisp. Make no mistake, this is not an Baer or Wilson grade piece but it is not 2k either. It IS a good value for the money and I for one will leave it pretty much for new sights and grips. And it is accurate and digests everything I put in it, all make, composition, and shape bullets. A good piece.

Great price for a .45. I plan on getting one of these in the future, but I just wanted to inform everyone WHY this piece is so cheap. All innards are MIM. For many reviews, along with troubleshooting, gunsmithing, customizing, etc, visit
