Excellent firearm! I've had this gun (.40cal) for 3-years now and shot at least 2000 rounds with no jams or malfunctions! The only bad thing is my ability to perform immediate action on a handgun has completely diminished (LOL). The weapon is solid and the pistol grip is not too big. In fact, I was surprised to see how thin the pistol grip really was. The trigger is a big time improvement over most Berettas that like to sport a minimum of 5 lbs. of pressure for trigger squeeze on single action. It's not a hair trigger, but it still squeezes smooth without effort. My buddy loves pressing ammo and gave me 50 rounds of .40 and told me to clean the crap out of my gun when done, cause he's experimenting with different grains and the sort and it's going to leave a lot of gunk. I decided to not clean so I can get that darn malfunction! I swear....the first round of some good quality Federal Premium 165 grain .40 JHP shot the gunk right out!! Ahh....it's probably my way of justifying my laziness to clean my weapon! Great gun!

I bought this gun last November (2010), and have shot this on many countless occcasions...............in the field/woods, indoor range, outdoor range, etc. This is the absolute best shooting handgun I've ever had in my hands. ABSOLUTE accuracy - VERY tight patterns from 20 ft to 75 ft. I've shot both cheap and expensive ammo............never a jam or malfunction of any sorts. The gun feels/fits perfect in your hand (three adjustable backstraps for customization), is relatively light, very little recoil due to the rotating barrel. To date I've fired around 1500 rounds through it without a signle problem. Friends and others at the range are always impressed with it's accuracy................especially when reaching out (and holding 3 to 4 inch groups) at the end of a 30 yard shooting lane. I honestly would rate the quality of this gun above Ruger, S&W, Tuarus, FNH, and AT LEAST EQUAL TO Springfield, Walther, Sig, Glock (which is way over rated anyhow). As far as how it fits in my hand, and the return postion after recoil (faster target acquisition) I'd rate the Px4 ABOVE all the other brands that I listed. The ONLY thing I don't like is the safety (awkward) and the sights are NOT adjustable, and too much of a gap between the width of the front pin/post and the gap in the block of the rear sight......although these sights allow for quicker target acquisition with this gap.........COME ON..............my eyes are still young...........I don't need a hole big enough to drive a truck through !!! (I find this problem with ALL of the Berettas that I've handled). If you're considering whether to get a 9 mm or .40 S&W..........DO THE RIGHT THING...........40 S&W is the way to go. Much more stopping power, and with this gun, barely kicks more than a 9 mm. As for Buds.............this was the first of two guns that I ordered with Buds and they are exceptional, and always seem to have the lowest price. (I actually had to return the 2nd gun - AR15 due to finish issues - and it was certainly NOT a hassel............and they covered the return shipping.............no questions asked. Hands down, Bud's is the place to buy your next gun (and the Px4 would be a great choice).

I left a review for this gun below just over 2 years ago when I first purchased it. Now 2 years later and about 2000+ rounds I had zero issues, untill last week. To make it short, I was using Remington UMC 180gr and all of a sudden the gun jams, the slide gets stuck anout half way...got it apart and noticed that the Barrel got bulged about an inch from the end, insde the barrel looks like the round was peeling the sides of the barrel, or digiging in, dont even know how to explain it. Anyway, now I need a new barrel which costs 340 bucks, unless warranty takes care of it, if one of their techs finds malfunction that might have caused it...it is just possible that it was a squib load that wasnt noticed right away and fired another round through it...we'll see.

This was the first gun I bought and it delivers! Very nice gun. The only gripe is with the safety. Its odd shape is at times not the easiest to manipulate.

Put htis gun on layaway in January and made the final payment in early March. I was pleased with Bud's layaway plan and the Beretta PX4 Storm. I put about 500 rounds through this gun this month. Shot it side by side this with My Dad's 9mm Glock 17. To me the Beretta Px4 storm 40sw has about the same recoil has the glock 17 9mm. Easy to shoot and a easy to field strip and clean. Hasn't jammed once, even shot some of the cheap Russian steel through it. Only negative is I would rather push down on the manual safty to engage gun instead of having to push up.
