This was one of the finest duty sized 9mm pistols that Ruger made. Tough as a tank, and shoots everything you can find. It's a shame they quit making them in favor of the "SR" line of pistols. I'm not sure what was wrong with the guy who had 10 failures. I've abused mine over the years and it doesn't fail to fire ever. In fact, in the several hundred (if not thousand) rounds I've fired, I've never had a failure that wasn't clearly ammo related. Take down is similar to a 1911, but a little easier, really the only thing that's "tricky" is you need to remember to move the ejector out of the way before you put the slide back on. The only negatives on this pistol are completely subjective. It's heavy, and rather large. For those reasons it's really only suited to open carry. The hammer is fairly difficult to pull back as it's not really textured for it and has a small contact area for the thumb. Fortunately the double action pull isn't too extreme. Some people are going to take issue with the lack of metal rails for the slide to ride on, but mines been shot loads and there is hardly any wear. Certainly no more wear than if the frame rails were steel.

Well this is my 8th gun from buds and they are as always great!!!!!!!!!!! As for the gun I own over 15 ruger guns and this one is a swing and a miss in my opinion. Its kind of a pin to take apart to clean and the fit and finish are not like the sr-9 and sr-45 I own. I guess for $320 out the door you cant beat it. It jammed about 10 times shooting the first 100rds other than that its not bad.

This is now P95 21 for me. 8 stainless 13 blue. I've been using the blue for Duracoat applications on the slides. The P95 can't be beat for value, reliability, durability. For absolute reliability use Ruger mags, aftermarket ok for range use. I like the traditional exposed hammer, standard non-Glockish trigger and double-action first shot. This is #21, need I say more?

Excellent right out of the box!! Buy one !! you will not be disappointed! Just wish I could find more AMMO !! I,ve had to curtail my range trips to conserve what little 9mm I have left.

First time ordering from Buds. Ordered two P95"s and received them within the same week at the local FFL dealer. Extremely satisfied with the whole process. THANKS BUDS GUN SHOP!!!

I just paid off this gun and it I recieved it about two days after it entered the shipping department. Took it out this weekend and put about 80 rounds of Sellier & Bellott FMJ thru it. Would've burned a lot more if ammo was more plentiful these days. But I really have no complaints. the firearm is comfortable to hold and shoots straight. no issues, no jamming. Only once, i had a bullet not wanting to chamber correctly but a quick sling and release of the slide fixed that problem right away and that was it. This was my first gun purchase from Bud's but most definetley will not be my last. My suggestion is to pick one of these up before they sell out again, because they will.
