I Bought the P95 several months ago and shot it for the first time last week. I shot 100 rounds of winchester 115grain with 2 jams, then I switched over to 115grain Federal ammo and it kept missfeeding , stove piping and jamming the slide on the gun. I hope I just got a bad batch of ammo cause the gun is fun to shoot. 115grain may be a little weak to break this gun in with. Next time I go to the range I'll use better ammo. I would also recommend cleaning and oiling the gun before you shoot it. I did not do that and could be another reason for the jamming. The magazines that come with the gun are really stiff, you can fix this by filling the mags with ammo and let it set for about 6 weeks. Of course you can still shoot it meanwhile :) Overall its a well built gun and looks awesome with a light and laser. i just gotta hit the range again and get those jams worked out.

I've had this gun for about 2 years now, with about 500 rounds shot through it. It is a bit chunky looking, but it is rugged, reliable, and will feed any kind of ammo put through it. Very good for a 1st handgun.

I ordered this gun from Bud's about 2 months ago and I am very happy w/ my purchase. This was a first-time gun purchase for my wife and I. The P95 isnt as clunky as ppl claim, but it is fairly heavy w/ a full magazine. To me, its a lot of fun to shoot but my wife didnt really care to shoot it much bc of its size. I field stripped and cleaned the p95 after my 1st time at the range, and it was surprisingly simple to do (after reading the instructions and watching some youtube videos). I did notice a big difference when using diff types of ammo. I had put about 400 winchester rounds through it w/o a single issue and then decided to use a cheaper ammo. do NOT use cheap ammo w/ the gun; i had 4 or 5 jams out of 50 rounds w/ the cheap stuff. overall, i would recommend the Ruger p95 because its reliable, safe and fun.

Fast Shipping! This is a nice little 9mm. The finish was great, grip is great! It's not a fancy weapon, although it's a great buy for the price. It was delivered with two magazines, which is nice. The double-action does have a really long pull, although single action is nice and crisp. This is common with a Ruger. It's a little heavy for it's size, wich some people may not perfer, although I believe this help illiminate some of the recoil. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied!

I purchased this pistol from Bud's about two weeks ago. Service was fast and friendly. You should feel comfortable buying a gun from Bud's. The Ruger P95 is an excellent gun. I mean excellent. I have zero complaints about its performance, reliability or quality. I put 80 rounds through it from two different manufacturers and the gun performed flawlessly. Not a single hiccup. I had the targets about 22 feet away and all 15 rounds were in the 6" circle and ~4 rounds out 15 were in the bullseye. Point being, the gun was incredibly accurate out of the box. Unless you want a bunch of frivolous bells and whistles or require your handgun to come with a certain amount of "celebrity", the P95 is the best 9MM you can buy. Period. Shoots nicer than the Glocks and CZs I have shot.

Cheap (cost wise, not build wise), reliable, and attractive. I picked this up to have as a in home protection piece in the (very) unlikely event that we'd ever need it. I also wanted something fairly inexpensive to maintain and fire for trips to the range a few times a month. We also wanted to make sure this was a firearm that my wife could easily load, shoot, and be accurate with (it's really in the house more for her "feeling safe" when I'm not at home than anything). Bottom line, after the first trip to the range with her to practice firing and loading it (she'd not fired a pistol in likely 10 years), she mentioned the same evening how much more at ease she felt and wouldn't be as apprehensive when I was way for the evening. Keeping in mind that we live in an area that I could likely put our best china out on the front lawn and it would be safe, its still good to have that peace of mind that you at least have something to protect yourself with should it be needed. Her feeling good about it ... was all I needed to be happy with the purchase. My wife has no issues firing or loading this weapon (she is a small woman) and is actually quite accurate with it. For my part ... I love the thing. It handles like a dream. I've put about 1500 rounds through it without a single issue (using Winchester FMJ 115 grain target - the inexpensive white box stuff). Like any handgun it has its own unique handling that takes a few rounds to get used to, after that it is extremely consistent. The one thing I would HIGHLY SUGGEST is to add your choice of a grip enhancer. The grip of the pistol is not "bad" really, but its a bit narrow my hands (average size) and also a bit more slick than I'd like. A small grip enhancer made the gun far more comfortable to fire for long periods of time. Both my wife (with her small hands) and myself find it a lot more comfortable with the added girth of the grip (so spend the 20$ and just order one with the gun). On a size note, I'm not sure this would be the weapon I would carry for concealment, its substantial, however you could do so (its not so large that you couldn't do so in winter/fall, though might be hard to hide under light summer clothing). The one upside to the guns heft is that it feels substantial. Unlike a lot of 9mm in this price range, I'm pretty sure I could very effectively defend myself with this weapon without firing it at all (aka, it'd make a great club).
