Bought this gun a little while ago and I immediately fell in love with it. It's small, thin, and light which makes it a good choice for CCW. I grew up shooting revolvers and have always loved DA triggers but this gun is my absolute favorite. Took it out for its 200rd break-in(ended up shooting 450rds because it was so pleasant) and had zero malfunctions, the gun shot perfectly. Both the trigger and slide eased up after the first 3 or 4 mags dumps and both now are very smooth. Kahr states that you need to use the slide release to load the first round, which I did do the first few times, but I can now reliably slingshot the slide to chamber a round like any other handgun. For a small-sized nine it doesn't have much recoil, has about the same as a full-sized 9mm which is a definite plus. The gun is pretty damn accurate as well and I have no problem trusting my life to this little guy.

Handles recoil well for a 9mm. Had no malfunctions in the first outing.

Came as expected spent about a week practicing drawing and dry firing so that I could get used to the trigger. Break down and cleaning is easy enough and all the parts were covered in shipping oil. After cleaning and all the dry fire practice I made it to the range today where it shot exceptionally. If I did my part I could hit whatever I aimed at. Other than the long reset which van be over come by training I don't feel or see anything that I don't like. Ran through 100 rounds of Perfecta and 100 rounds of Federal with no problems whatsoever. Recoil was very manageable as well. Hopefully will take my wife to the range with it next week to get a females perspective. Would definitely trust this gun with my life so long as it remains problem free.

First, it was an awesome experience purchasing this gun through Bud's. It arrived 3 days after purchase. As far as the Kahr CW9? it is a straight shooting and reliable CCW choice. I put the recommended 200 rounds of ball ammo through it without a single malfunction. I then put Hornady Self Defense SWC through it again without a malfunction. All of this after only the initial out of the box cleaning. I actually waited a week after the 1st 100 hundred rounds and didnt clean the pistol and fired the second 120 rounds. It shoots where you aim it! Light and easy concealable too.

Bought this as a smaller alternative carry gun, must say I love this thing. Small and light, great carry weapon. 1500+ rounds without a problem. Accurate and consistent. Never had or shot a kahr before this one but am happy I tried this one out. And like always excellent service from buds.

I do like the gun once the shooting begins, but there are a couple of design issues that are going to be deal breakers for me. First issue is the trigger - pull is extremely long and there is no indication of when the striker is going to release. Gun was firing sometimes when I wanted it to, and other times not firing without pulling the trigger beyond my fire expectation point. I am sure that with a good deal of practice, I would get the feel for the trigger, but I am going to just find a different gun that will more closely meet my needs. Second issue is the magazine (both the 7 shot and the extended 8 shot). Both magazines failed to feed the first round almost every time I cycled the slide with a full magazine. It appears that the problem is that the angle the bullet sits in the magazine does not match the barrel feed ramp very well. I have now seen that both of these issues have received a bit of comment from professional reviewers; I just either missed the comments or else they came out after my purchase. I am unfortunately going to either sell or trade the Kahr CW9 for a different gun. Great delivery and pricing by Buds, but I just did not do enough homework on the gun before my purchase.
