This is a great pistol. It is very accurate right out of the box. I put about 200 rounds through it my first time at the range, and no problem at all. I highly recommend Bud's Gun Shop. I have checked pricing all over the U.S. and only once have I found a better price and that was a special promotion at a local shop. I will be a regular customer of Bud's in the future.

i love kel tec so i dropped 1000 bucks and got 2. this is a really fun gun to shoot but i think for 500 dollars it should come with one of those crappy plastic foregrips and not all ugly and stripped down looking. its the hairless cat of 5.56s. i got the B.A. fore grip from midwest and thread protectors from red lion and they look great now. love the way this thing strips down. EASY! but this gun is not the most accurate thing. NEVER use one of these to hunt, you will not hit what you are aiming at. but for home D its not bad. its very loud so P.P.E. should be used if you want to keep hearing anything. i love them though i just dump beta mags and Pmags all day and have fun shooting up stuff i find at the dump. great service by buds yet again. oh yeah my friends kinda make fun cause of all the plastic so if you want something that dose not look like a toy, buy alot of after market stuff to add to the look.

I bought the Plr-16 a couple of months ago because I've always wanted an AR pistol, but was put off by the extra buffer on other pistol systems and not willing to put down the extra thousand for a Rock River PDS or better. After having it out a few times I can say that I didn't go wrong with this purchase. As others have stated, it is VERY LOUD, expect attention if you intend to shoot it at the range. I don't know about others, but mine was unpredictable with steel cased ammo, sometimes it would empty a magazine just fine, other times the case would stick in the chamber and I would have to rod it out. On the other hand it ate all of the brass cased ammo I fed it just fine, so that's all it gets now. A fore grip is definitely recommended, as the barrel heats up quickly. However, I was not impressed with Kel-tec's fore grip and opted instead for a solid aluminum one from Red Lion Precision (Google it) that has three picatinny rails. This is not only functional, but in my opinion, makes the gun look very sweet. Finally, get a muzzle brake, I picked up the one Kel-tec makes for it and it's not too bad. You won't make any friends at the range though, because muzzle blast is directed sideways and to the rear. Overall I am very satisfied with this weapon, get one if you can.

Fun gun. Midwest Industries makes a great fore end for this gun. Gem Tec suppressor on it completes the package. That takes care of the loudness of this gun. Fire any ammo put through it.

Picked up from dealer today, outside of box looked great, but inside, weapon was able to slide around. Had to disassemble and clean to remove dust and prices of cardboard. Otherwise, the PLR16 is a great looking weapon. Put on forend kit, but to me, looks like there is a tiny barrel after, so going to install a AR15 long flash hider. Overall, it's a great looking weapon, bit of a pain to take down to clean, and ASAP, taking it to range.
