My first Beretta and now I want another one. Of course it's an awesome design, Double Action / Single Action, Decocker / Safety and super easy take down lever. Alloy frame w/ steel slide and steel mags. It's not heavy to me even with bad shoulders and joints but I'm used to heavy all steel pistols. The fit and finish is superb including the slick coating that seems pretty durable. I chose the M9 because of the military history, the US markings, the lack of warnings roll marks and I wanted to try the 2 dot sights instead of 3 dots. I'm liking the sights fine and they seem less blurry on my old eyes. I would probably prefer the more refined high grip under the beavertail like on the 92 frame but I like the originality of the M9 frame and it's a worthy trade off for me getting the M9 features. The M9 has a straight dust cover, not slanted like the 92. I'm not knocking the 92 at all, just stating the differences to save someone the research time. There is a steel parts kit available to replace the plastic trigger, lanyard cap, mag release and guide rod. I think I like the plastic guide rod for now. The steel parts kit also comes with decocker levers but I think mine are already steel. I could totally live without any upgrades but I like tinkering and I will probably try some thin VZ G10 grips. I love the smooth allen grip screws of the M9 too. It's a joy to shoot. I shot about 500 rounds of 5 brands and 2 reloads through it in a couple weeks without a problem. It's 9/10 for bedside but needs a rail for that. 9/10 for concealed carry, the grip length is perfect but full slide length would concern some people. 9/10 at the range but right now I still make smaller groups on paper and more hits on steel with my CZs. 10/10 for "I love this gun" factor.

Just received my Beretta M9 and I couldn’t be more pleased. It fires like a dream. This will for sure be my conceal carry weapon of choice. For those of us with bigger hands sometimes the smaller compact firearms are a bit rough to handle and properly hold. It’s not too bulky and is farely lightweight considering it’s a full sized pistol. Light trigger pull. The pistol came ready to fire and looked pretty well oiled up. I cleaned it again as I’m a bit of a worry wart. Then I put 100 rounds through it as a test. Extremely accurate and absolutely no foul ups. 100 rounds in and 100 rounds out.

Received m9 and brought it home and did a quick clean. Took it to the range and sent 200 rounds down range. What a great weapon. Would definitely recommend!

Other than having to buy the steel upgrades, like the trigger mag release.... the m9 is a great handgun.

Handle and grips to thick for me. The CZ SP-01 has got it beat.

One of my favorite guns I've ever purchased. What a legend, what a great shooter. Love the mechanics of it, genius.
