This thing is beautiful. Perfect ergonomics for me. Lightweight. Some find snubbies to be too snappy. Not me. With the right ammo and proper training you’ll love it. Easy to carry in shorts and a T shirt. Spend the extra bucks for the Performance Center, you’ll love the light trigger. Buds is the best. Another great product. Wicked fast shipping. Always a pleasure doing business with them.

This S&W PC 637 is of the highest quality. Very smooth action and I love the grips that come on it. Never tire of looking at this gun. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a quality snub nose revolver. You can't go wrong. Of course Bud's made this purchase a painless enterprise. Nobody does it better.

I’ve bought many new handguns over the 55 years including many Smith revolvers. Without a doubt this piece has the smoothest action of any! I supposed the term “enhanced action” is not an empty sales gimmick. And the wood grips are beautiful!

Great pocket gun. Nice and light and doesn't print at all with my leather pocket holster. Shoots fine. The action is nice but not anything spectacular in my opinion. I just expect it to be smooth. You shouldn't have to pay extra for that. I deducted one star just for that reason. I saw someone in another review say that the action is "gritty". I do not have that issue. All in all, it's a nice little snubby. I'll hang onto it for a while.

Light weight. Shoots fair considering the barrel is less than 2". And, almost always in my pocket. With the Sticky holster it doesn't even print.

Perfect little revolver to add to the collection or for smaller hands

Transaction through Buds was fast and easy as usual. Was a bit disappointed in the performance center's work. Barrel canted just enough to be noticeable but not bad enough to be problematic enough to refuse to accept the gun. The revolver is accurate and very easy to conceal. Have run less than a hundred rounds through the revolver and it runs without a hitch, but the double action trigger is far from the buttery smooth I expected from the center, actually on the gritty side like I would expect from a less expensive gun. I have two other snubbies from other makers and both have better double action triggers. The single action trigger on the other hand is almost on the too light end of the scale but I still find it very nice to shoot as the break is incredibly crisp. Hopefully, after another couple hundred rounds and some dry firing with snap caps, the double action pull will smooth out some. The gun does seem to have an ammo preference as it seems to perform better with lighter bullets in the 125 grain range. I would have given it five stars were it not for the fact the performance center does not seem to have consistent quality control. Even my FFL noticed the cant in the barrel.

Fantastic gun for summertime carry, when minimal clothing offers minimal concealment. Functions flawlessly, and typical S&W quality. Grip is small but offers a very comfortable feel in the hand. The Performance Center enhanced trigger is excellent as well.

Smith & Wesson 637 Performance Center SA/DA .38 Spc +P 1.875 is one of the best carry guns I own. Easily fits in my front pocket with no problem. At first I thought the hammer would get caught on the front edge of my jeans pocket. Not the case. If you have the firearm slightly pushed aft in your pocket it comes and goes in and out with out an issue. The trigger pull is not too light and not too strong. At 25 to 30 feet I end up with a pattern on the target of about the size of a golf ball. And I am not normally a great shot. Just ask my son who can't miss. I would highly recommend this revolver for anyone who wants an attractive and practical carry firearm. You get what you pay for, so can't complain about price. Besides, it's a Smith & Wesson. In my opinion one of the best firearms made.

I've had this for a couple of years now and I absolutely love it.

If you want a j-frame snubbie in 38, this is your revolver. The PC option is worth every penny of the extra $75.00. Butter smooth trigger pull. Put a set of Pachmayr Diamond Pro's on it and carry all day long.

Very lightweight revolver. Trigger action is super smooth. The rosewood colored laminate grips give it an extra nice touch.
I’ve fired a box of ammo through it and it’s a great little shooter.
Nice size to conceal carry in a leather belt holster or jacket pocket.
Quick and simple DA/SA defense weapon. Excellent alternative if not comfortable with a semi automatic pistol.

This S&W is a nice looking revolver. The fit and finish is very good. It shoots very well with 110gr loads. Hot or heaver loads are hind of rough on the hand. This is typical for small framed snubbies... I gave it a 4 star only because I can't use a speed loader affectively with this grip. Buds service is outstanding...

WOW! Such a beautiful piece. Great price and fast delivery. I purchased this for my husband for Christmas and couldn't wait the 4 weeks to give it to him. I'm glad I didn't. He shot the gun and told me it was a great addition to what he already has and shot amazingly.

Great concealed gun. Lightweight and very nice action. Grip is a little slick and I will probably buy rubber grips for carry. Have shot +P ammo in this revolver and the recoil is not too bad.

Great lay-a-way option and a fantastic gun from the performance center. Trigger is amazing and this little gun is accurate! It's my everyday CC. Could not be happier with it.

My 6th firearm purchase from Buds. Can't beat their price compared with my LGS and various online stores. Revolver came with a small machine mark on the barrel. I have to sand it down. For a Performance Center gun S&W should pay more attention to their QC. I bought this for pocket and IWB carry and it did not disappoint me at all. Fully loaded,I sometimes forget I am packing this piece on me.With the beautiful wooden grip,my hand hurt a tad after shooting 100 rounds at the range. Not a big deal once I get use to it. Overall a perfect conceal revolver with whatever holster you decide to use. I will give S&W 3 star for their QC and a five for Buds!

Follow up: the grip is a weak point on this pistol. It's laminate and not very strong as it's coming apart after 200 rounds of standard .38 ammo. A piece inside has broken off and the seam is splitting at the blackstrap. I have a request for replacement in to S&W and I'm sure they'll oblige, but I just ordered Pachmyr because I don't trust these grips. Solid wood would've been nice. Still love the gun though; great shooter and very accurate. The trigger is great.

Nice little J Frame. I had one before and this one is as good as I remembered. Very nice trigger and great finish and fit. The grips are comfortable and easy to hold on to unlike other pocket guns. That's a good thing considering the light weiht. 38's have enough recoil that after 20 rounds my finger behind the trigger guard was saying "I feel that". I then fired 15 rounds of 130 g, +P and I was beginning to flinch. The little thing is accurate. I only shot single action and at 7-10 yards. I had several 3 shot groups touching and none over 2", probably when I was begining to flinch. Anyhow, very much worth the extra few bucks if you are going for a light weight J Frame. See my old review below for the first one I had.

This a great little gun, fit, finish, and action are what you except from S&W performance center. It is a perfect carry gun for both men and women, with and without experience. Very happy with this purchase.
