The S&W 329PD was my first purchase with Bud's. Dealing with Bud's was a pleasure/worry free. From date of order my local FFL received the revolver in 4 days. I have experience with the caliber as my EDC is a compact frame 44spl. I since delivery I've zeroed the sight for 15 yards with my hand load 44spls. These are about 3/4s of full pressure and run about 800fps from a 2.5 inch barrel. I'm impressed with the 329. Being 25 oz. empty I expected some "ignition pulse". I find these loads react no more than full standard pressure 38spls from a 4 inch K frame. I shot the 329 last week at an IDPA match. This revolver handles well from the holster, the stock trigger measured about 13 lbs at the break, a little grainy, which should smooth up with more rounds through it. The front sight is easy to acquire. The gun shoots dead on point of hold as long as you don't slap the trigger. The frame on this revolver is very strong and will handle heavier mag loads than I wish to bear. I'll likely have the nearest S&W revolver expert smooth up the trigger action so I will be able to run it little quicker in competition. It is light enough to carry concealed with a good holster. In summary, I am very pleased with this revolver. This will not be a gun safe "queen".

What a blaster. Had mine for about 5 years now and thought I would finally get a review out. Buds shipped this massive weapon in perfect condition, thanks Buds. The revolver is a carry lots and shoot little kind of gun. An airweight 44 Mag is almost a kin to hitting your self in the head with a rock. It has recoil. Glad it came with rubber grips besides the nice looking wood ones. This is my walk in the woods gun. It loves all kinds of ammo, Buffalo Bore is a bit extreme, shot two rounds of a box of 20 and had a friend remove my forearm, hand and elbow from my back pocket after touching off some of those bad boys. Very accurate and easy to aim. Did have to send back to Smith one time for a crane adjustment, free ride both ways and SW took good care of me. Wish S&W would make one of these in a 45 Colt/45ACP model.

Really nice revolver, unbelievably light. Not crazy about the HiViz front sight, will probably get an XS Big Dot later. Will also switch to an X-Frame grip soon, already swapped to the plastic grips. Overall, in spite of the lock, it's worth it if you need a nice hiking gun.

This firearm is surprisingly light. The recoil is a handful. I intend to carry this for self defense and so prefer the light weight. I have another 29 I use for practice that is steel and less punishing to fire. In the present time where so much advertising is directed to selling the latest versions of the 9mm or 380 tinys, I choose to do what I think is best for my own application and carry full size. When there is no time to aim during an attack I want the most horsepower I can carry at my disposal. Rather than shoot little holes accurately in the target, which is impossible in a real life situation, I want to make a big hole that will have the most likely chance of deterring the enemy.

Great Gun. Seems kind of funny to pick up this N Frame and have it weigh less than most 1911s. Took it out and shot it today and it's a good shooter. Shot a couple loads of 180 gr Remington 44 Mag and several 44 Spec. Recoil was stout, but not as horrible as expected. I used the Aherands wood grips that came on it, but have changed to Pachmayer. to reduce the sting. The quality on this thing is first rate. It looks just like it does in the picture. No surprises. Now I need to do something about this flinch....
