This isn\'t an easy task for me. I am one that always wants the facts as they really are. Often I met people that whatever they have have is the very best. I am not that person, so here goes. My rating is from only having shot this Dickinson a few times. These shots were with the modified choke; shooting both 71/2 and 6 shot, the pattern was excellent at 40 yards for both. A little more kick than a gas operated as you would expect. The balance is very good, shouldering very good and on target. The feeding and expelling the spent was flawless. Not a heavy gun and feels well built. Now for the little down side. Pulling back the bolt to the locking point gave some problems. Upon a couple occasions the release button would not release the bolt. I had to hold the bolt and push the release button while also pushing down the feeding carriage and release the bolt easily. That has to be done with care or catch your finger in the closing bolt. Have not figured the cause of that yet. At this point that is all the down side I have, but I do see this may be a problem at times in the field.
