The gun has a great feel to it. I haven't shot it yet but there are plenty of videos out there showing how these do. The gun came with a soft case and 1 10 round magazine. It has the rubber butt pad as opposed to the metal hinged pad that houses the GI cleaning kit. Took it apart per the included manual to clean all of the grease and oil it up. Action feels smooth and trigger is a typical Garand style trigger. The receiver assembly, trigger assembly, and magazines all fit tight in the stock.

Buds customer service was amazing. I originally order the SOCOM 16 because the Scout version wasn't in stock at the time. Shortly after I ordered the Scout was available so I emailed Buds and they were happy to make the swap and quickly processed the refund and waived the restocking fee. Processing was a little slow due to the electronic check payment. After everything cleared order was shipped promptly and arrived at my FFL with no issues. As for the gun it self; it shoots really well. I will say that using the supplied 10 round magazine was a little difficult. The stock was very tight in the mag well. But that wasn't an issue for me since I had a Sage EBR stock on order. Once I got everything installed into the EBR stock and picked up a couple of 20 and 25 round magazines, I couldn't be happier with this purchase. Overall the gun is pleasant to shoot, not nearly as much felt recoil as my friend's Sig 762 Patrol. I haven't decided on what optic I want to run on the gun yet. But the EBR stock is certainly designed for that; using the iron sights with the stock requires a little abnormal cheek weld but can be done. I would highly recommend that you use Buds for your firearms dealer. I also can't say enough about the Scout M1A; it's a phenomenal gun.

This was my first purchase from Bud's, and won't be my last. The firearm arrived in pristine state, and after taking a few hours to grab some lunch and clear out the packing grease, I spent the rest of the afternoon sending 168 grain hornaday TAP downrange. she's a ragged hole first-time-go.
