Ok after a little shipping delay which Buds fixed once I notified them the service was superb! For just regular products the process is flawless. Now for the weapon. I purchased this .45 rom Buds and could not be happier. 600 rounds through it of good quality ammo and not one malfunction...Only when I used Winchester Hollow Points did I have a misfeed and actually 3 hangfires...I will never buy that ammo again!. But I shot 200 rounds of Remington HP's after that and not one problem. Overall I love this gun and would recommend it to anyone the only design feature I dont like is the safety feature just wish it was ambidexterious lever....Thanks Buds!

Update on this great Springfield .45. At a local gun show in Dalton GA over this weekend the cheapest this firearm could be purchased was for $585.00 plus tax. Also, after shooting several hundred rounds through this gun and getting more comfortable and familiar I was hitting a 8 inch paper plate at 100 yards at the range. I cannot say enough about this gun and the great service from Bud's and the $100 plus I saved. Buy this gun and buy it from Bud's -- you will not beat their price or service!

I received this firearm on Tuesday, went to the range on Thursday and was shocked at how it performed. I have been a Colt and Glock man for many years. This XD 9611 is right there with them in performance and better in fit and feel. Out of the box accuracy is surprising. I first shot the pigs at 50 yards. Then the rams at 100 yards. My friend was shooting the 1911 Champion by Springfield, and I am now saving to purchase it. This is my first Springfield but certainly not my last! You will not beat this weapon - it is an awesome gun. Thanks Bud's for a great gun at a great price. Thanks for the smooth transaction and the unbelieveable fast shipping. I perchased the gun on-line at midnight Saturday and took possession at noon Tuesday. Buy this gun and you will be glad you did.

Never a malfunction with 400+ rounds of ball and hollow point ammo including the +P stuff through mine. Ultra-reliable and accurate to my needs (self-defense ranges). I'm a big fan of the Glocks, but I think the Springfield has one-upped them having fully supported chambers, a grip safety, ambidextrous magazine release and it's really easy to tell if there's a round chambered in the Springfield. Crimson Trace laser grips are now available for it and with a 13+1 capacity of .45 ACP, there's plenty of punch. Also, with the relatively short trigger span, it's fits my smaller hands well.

I love the feel of this firearm. Despite the fixed backstrap (as opposed to the XD-M model) it just seemed to fit right out of the box. I picked-up the equivalent Glock, but there was no contest. Firing rounds is relatively effortless. Fit and finish is great. Field stripping is straightforward and relatively easy. This full size model is just a bit oversized for CC. I'll carry it in Winter with a jacket on, but it has nowhere to hide in the Summer. I'll look for a sub-compact .40 to try to fill my days in shorts. I do though, have a few complaints. The magazine release is in a terrible place for me. I cannot drop and reload with any ease. The weapon needs to be cocked at a weird, non-firing angle to get to the button. It is ambidexterous, and I have tried the left side with my thumb and the right side with my index finger with the same result. I have to fight the gun to drop the magazine. The release button is quite stiff too. I tried a dab of lubricant thinking it might just be new. That didn't help. If the 13 + 1 rounds isn't enough to do the job, I'm in some trouble. Kinda defeats the purpose of the included magazine holder. I'm hoping it will loosen over time. Seond complaint is the takedown lever. Mine is an absolute bear to engage. You have to have fingertips of steel to push it up to take the slide off. Obviously a non-combat situation, but a minor issue nonetheless. Last one: the grip. Although the ergonomics fits me very well, I can't shoot in warm/humid weather for very long. They polymer stock does not like persperation very much. The firearm will flop around quite a bit after a few dozen rounds at the range. I have to keep a towel handy or constantly wipe my hand on my jeans to keep dry. All in all, a very nice piece. Subtle personal preference issues is all. Its fired every round flawlessly to-date. I will purchase another Springfield.
