After searching locally and all over the web for the best deal on a big brother for my XD 9mm, I finally decided on Bud's for my new XD 45 Tactical. Talk about service!! I ordered on a Sunday night and mailed my money order on Monday morning (I wanted to save that 3% for ammo!). On Wednesday I received email confirmation that my gun was in the shipping department and on Friday my FFL called to tell me the XD had arrived!!!! (It don't get no better than that!!!!). Now for the gun: It arrived in perfect condition, with all the XD gear included, and was exactly what I expected it to be - another excellent product from Springfield Armory. I did have to wait a week before finally getting an opportunity to fire the weapon, but once I did, I was impressed. FMJ and hollow-points both performed flawlessly. VERY accurate handgun with tight groups at 25 feet, 50 feet, and even exploded a gallon water jug at 100 feet with no problem!!!! If you are considering a .45 ACP that won't cost you an arm & 3 legs, then this is the one!!!!

I purchased one... then another... Then (well you get the picture) I absolutely love this gun. It fits my hand perfectly. It's got all kinds of "features" that make me wonder why no one else is including them (actually some have started to copy them). Including the striker status indicator, loaded chamber indicator that clearly let you know one is in the chamber, Easy No-Tool Disassembly, 1911 style Grip Safety. Dependable. Accurate. HIGH QUALITY Magazines. I've noticed some manufacturers using low quality magazines in their firearms. That is definitely not the case here. These function as good as my Wilson Combat's in my 1911's. The only thing I wish I could change about this gun is where it's made.... I believe in buying American first. Unfortantely, this one is Made in Croatia. Tom

Bought mine locally slightly used (I was told it was never fired and it seemed like that was the case) before I found Bud's. I have nothing but positives to say about the gun. Since I live in California I only have shot with 10 round mags, but having 13 as an option in the free states is really nice for a 45acp. Have over 1000 rounds through it including about 500 in four days at Front Sight training school in NV without one failure. Even had a Glock fail in the class I was in while mine did not. For fans of 1911's the pointability of this gun is outstanding, very quick on target and recoil is hardly noticeable for a 45. Absolutely recommended.

i resisted the urge to try the xd secondary to the overwhelming advertising, amount of reviews and the fact that everyone has one. well it turns out they are right, i bought this for a little more locally (got a gift certificate for christmas) and was looking for a polymer .45, the new smith and wesson m&p is nice (bought the m&p full size 9mm and love it) but holds but 10 rounds while the xd holds 13. feels much nicer in the hand than the glock 21 and has made a believer out of me. so far 500 rounds with nothing to report but absolute reliability. it is a large gun, but so to be expected with a five inch tube and 13+1 rounds of .45 firepower, all and all could not be more happy. since i always try to tell people at least one thing that could be improved i'll have to say the finish is not perfect with small imperfections noted. but it is a duty pistol and i really could care less, very small detail. go pick one up, you will like it.
