I have this little rifle for over two years now. It has become my go to gun for plinking and early small game seasons. It is very light and very accurate. I put a $2.00 spring(not sure about the exact price), from ACE Hardware, on the trigger to make it a 1.2 pound trigger. I have no problem shooting five shot groups at 50yd that the holes are touching each other/some holes are on top of each other, Mine likes Mini Mag, CPRN, and CCI STD best. At 25 yards, almost all loads are find for shooting squirrels. This is a great rifle for young shooters and small framed people. I am 5ft 3in and fits me fine after putting a limb saver extender on the butt plate.

Awesome little gun for my daughter, its a little bigger than the cricket and smaller than other bolt 22s. so its a great intermediate gun that can grow with her. Buds had the best price and service that I could find.

I bought this Scout from Buds for my daughter to learn to shoot offhand because it is so light and easy to handle. The only hitch is that it comes with a "hard and long" trigger pull out of the box. We ordered the $15 YoDave 452 trigger kit for it, and a half hour later this CZ has a trigger that rivals my Anschutz. The Scout comes with some pretty marginal iron sights, which are OK for learning, but not the most accurate coupled with the little 16" barrel. But when we put on a nice 3-9X scope, with the trigger kit, this little gun becomes a tack driving machine. So, out of the box I would give it only a 4 star because of the trigger and the iron sights (both could have been worked out at the factory for another $5 in parts). Invest a little and that brings the gun well into the 5 star range and makes a great gun for small framed people. The single round plug is no problem and actually a good thing for the kids when learning, but I needed to purchase the 10 round magazine because my old fingers dont work as good as the kid's little fingers when stuffing .22s into the breach. As my daughter grows she can hand this rifle down to my wife who has taken a liking to it also. Buds once again came through with a flawless delivery and super service.

I shoot in .22 competitions. More than one of the folks I shoot with suggested a CZ. After doing all of the research I could, I bought the Scout. It has all of the features of the American in a smaller package and at a lower price. The only difference other than size is the rear leaf spring sight. I use a scope so this is a non-factor for me. The trigger adjusts easily. This rifle shoots one hole groups at 25 yds. It is VERY accurate just like all the other CZ 22's I've shot. I highly recommend the Scout to anyone looking for a GREAT shooting .22. I would still buy this rifle even at a higher pricepoint. It is a steal at $290. Jump on it!

I have two other CZ rimfires, one an FS model, the other an American 16 Bbl. I bought this one because I wanted a short barrel with iron sights. I was going to restock it with an after market stock which had a longer pull. I really like the stock, so I am going to just add an one inch recoil pad. The rifle is first rate, I just wished it had the tangent sight like the trainer, FS, and lux models. But for the price point, the stamped rear sight is to be expected. After shooting the scout on the indoor range, it became my favorite rifle. Just as accurite as my other two CZ rifles. I watched one of my co workers place his first two shots through the same ragged hole..Even though the Scout is one lowest priced models, it has a hammer forged barrel and adjustable trigger. One hell of a rifle for the money.
