Again love the Buds buying experience just did not like the gun and the way it loads. I bought this just for the look and having a .22 but sold it because did not like the gun. Taurus is a great brand to have just not this gun.

I read some negative reviews of this gun, but they were WRONG!!! I shot 100 rounds of 3 different ammos through it and had 000 hangs or misfires. Some ammo was over 10 years old. I'm fixing to buy another one. Even my wife loves it and she hasn't fired 20 shots in her entire life. Way to go Taurus.

I'm not sure what some of the other reviewers experienced, however I went to range today and put over 100 rounds through this beauty without a single ftf, jam or other issue. I removed it from the box and fired it over a two hour period with CCI, Remington Golden Bullet, Winchester, Aguila, CCI Stinger...no problems what so ever! Great job Taurus and great job Buds, Both, once again!

Even though the pt22 has terrible reviews I still liked the look of the nickel and rosewood so I thought, what the heck, for $230.00 and decided to try my luck. well, first time out after I got the gun and cleaned and oiled it prior to the range the gun sucked. ftf, fte, and a double feed was very difficult to clear as the gun is impossible to rack and there is no extractor to remove the empty casing stuck in the barrel. I had to use a piece of rubber like cloth so I could get a grip on the slide and pull it back far enough for the tip up barrel to release. after that I tried cci and Winchester and both still did not work well. I called Taurus and they said it needs a lot of breaking in so I decided to get some flitz polish and a electric toothbrush and polish the feed ramp and the inner slide rails. I went to the range yesterday and shot almost 200 rounds with only 2 ftf. I polished the ramp a little more when I got home and expect to shoot it this week and I am pretty sure it will work very well. I love the look and feel of this gun but with such a low price tag the buyer should not expect perfection and with a little elbow grease I can be a fun little shooter. I would not use this as a carry gun because of the lack of a extractor and the inability to tap, rack bang. if Taurus would just put a little more work into this gun it would get much better ratings. the gun likes cci mini mags and that's what I will use from now on.

This makes a fantastic ladies concealed carry. It has enough firepower; it is very easy to hold in the hand, very easy to load and shoot. The rosewood grips are gorgeous to both my wife and myself.

As always, Bud's was great.... This is not the most reliable gun ever made, but it's not bad. I had to send it back once for repair & jamming problems & although Taurus didn't solve all the jamming problems, I've found that a few drops of gun oil in a box of bulk ammo solves most of the problems. I wouldn't want to have to defend my life with this gun, but I didn't buy it for that. I bought it as a toy & as a toy it's OK.
